We decided to catch Iron Man 2 at the Arclight Cinemas at the Cinerama Dome since we just came out of a Capcom Party and was hoping that a theater in Hollywood would have seats available for the opening day midnight showings. Luckily for us, the Arclight had a lot of showings starting from 12:00am to 12:31am. We chose the 12:31am showing because we came in a group and that showing had some good seats left.

Appa Yip! Yip!  A new Last Airbender Trailer has premiered along side IRON MAN 2 that features many familiar faces of the animated series.  One of the major ones being Aang’s lovable magic flying bison Appa.  There is still no sighting of Aang’s other pet Momo, the winged lemur, but rest assured a voice actor has been casted for the role.  Also featured in the trailer is Princess Yue, Avatar Ruko’s Dragon, Fire Lord Ozai, General Iroh, and the “Blue Spirit.”

Our long national nightmare is over! Daria has been released on DVD. The instantly addictive, smart, and funny series was broadcast on MTV back in 1997 and ran for five glorious seasons. It also spawned two terrific longer movies, “Is It Fall Yet” and “Is It College Yet”. The latter was used to close out the series and is basically the final episode. The character of Daria Morganendorffer was introduced during Beavis and Butthead as a smart, sardonic foil to America’s favorite metalhead morons. It’s Street Fighter Day with the release of the professional-looking Street Fighter Legacy short. It’s co-directed by Joey Ansah and Owen Trevor. If you’ve watched The Bourne Ultimatum, then you’d probably recognize Ansah as Desh in that brutal fight scene against Matt Damon. Ryu is played by Jon Foo, a martial artist that’s also going to be the main lead in the Tekken movie. Christian Howard is spot on as Ken.
