Go Ninja, Go Ninja, GO; Go Ninja, Go ninja, GO!  The Ninja Turtles were huge when I was growing up, I distinctively  remember as a kid going to Toys R Us with my mom to pick up gift for my cousins birthday.  Unfortuneatly his birthday rolled around Christmas time and when we got to the aisle where the ninja turtles toys were suppose to be the shelves were bare and there was a large group of parents waited for the costumer service rep to bring a box out from the back room.  Until this day I have never seen such a …

photo 13 hires2 Movie Review: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Jake Gyllenhaal leaps across the screen as Prince Dastan in Jerry Bruckheimer’s new action adventure Prince of Persia:  the Sands of Time.  The film is based on a long running video games series that originated all the way back to Atari.  As a fan of the original game series, they did a great job of capturing the feel and look of the game.  There are a lot of homages to the game that I believe many fans will easily spot.  The film expands on the original story of the game by adding depth to the once nameless prince and …

DVD Review – Suicide Girls: Guide to Living

DVD Review – Suicide Girls: Guide to Living

sg guide living DVD Review Suicide Girls: Guide to Living

As a fan of the Suicide Girls (SG), this DVD was satisfying. The storyline is; well, there is no storyline. They had themes, instead. Short segments such as how to do Yoga in the nudes; or recreating an all-girl Fight Club; or even, how to cure a hangover. My favorite, though, was how to win a pillow-fight; you can probably imagine what happens there! Of course, this DVD isn’t meant to be taken seriously, AT ALL. If you truly want to learn Yoga, go to Youtube!

Tim Burtons Alice in Wonderland White Queen and Red Queen small Alice in Wonderland Reaches $1 Billion Box Office Worldwide

It was announced today that Alice in Wonderland has become the member of the $1 billion club. I guess you can say the movie made some profit, with a budget of just a measly $200 million. Even though I didn’t enjoy the movie, I help contribute to the movie’s success. Ok, go ahead and laugh at me since Alice in Wonderland is officially the third highest grossing Disney movie of all time, second only to Dead Man’s Chest and Finding Nemo.

And now the movie’s going to make even more bank with the release of the movie on Blu-ray and DVD …

The gangsta rapper has tried his hat at acting in the past which has usually ended up with little to no success.  Now he may not be Gary Oldman, but from the looks of some recent pictures it looks like he’s at least taking the job seriously.  These shocking photos come directly from the rapper’s website Thisis50.com.  The rapid weight loss is due to the musician’s preparation for he’s lead role in the film Things Fall Apart directed by Mario Van Peebles. In the film 50 Cent will play a football player diagnosed with cancer, also confirmed to star in …

As 99.8% of you guys know, Prince Of Persia the movie is based on a video game.  So when we had an opportunity to talk to Jake Gyllenhaal, we didn’t ask the typical questions like “How did you become so buff and dreamy?” or “How was it working with NERDSociety’s idol, mega producer, Jerry Bruckheimer?”

Last time I talked to sculptor Jim McPherson, we discussed his work on the Black and White Batman Statue.  Today, we talked about his role in creating Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland:

NERSociety (NS):  Can you please tell us your job at Gentle Giant and what are your duties?

Jim McPherson (JM): I’m the 3D art director.  In this case it means I communicate with film directors, do character designs and also work with character designers.  We turn 2D art into 3D models.  I sculpt on the computer and do character designs in Zbrush.  Sometimes people sit with me as …
