Kick-Ass 2 Trailer

Kick-Ass 2 Trailer

Kick Ass 2 First Poster Dragonlord Kick Ass 2 Trailer

The first red band trailer is here and it kind of sucks.
I’m not digging the green screens and making Hit Girl “cool.”  She was awesome in the first movie because she wasn’t the main character.  Now they’re making her a badass, which looks corny.  Especially when she does her slow action scenes.

Maybe I’m being too harsh but it’s because Kick-Ass is one of my favorite superhero movie.…

Movie Review: Oz the Great and Powerful

Movie Review: Oz the Great and Powerful

Messing with a classic like The Wizard of Oz is a dangerous proposition. The film is so beloved that you’re almost guaranteed the wraith of its many fans by even attempting a remake. Oz the Great and Powerful mostly avoids this by being a prequel concerning a lesser character (Oz) and not mentioning Dorothy at all. Oz is made with a great deal of skill and some eye-popping effects but little of the heart and soul that made the original so memorable. The film is not without merit though, and features some decent performances and an often lively pace. James Franco …

wreck01 Blu Ray Review: Pixars Wreck It Ralph

THE STORY: B+

An animated film based on video games? No way, but here it is. Wreck-It-Ralph is a quirky film by Disney about an Arcade character named Ralph, whom after 30 years as a villain, decides that he wants to be a good guy like his opposite, Felix. But, in order to become a “good guy,” Ralph needs a Gold Medal. So, begins his journey. Against the rules, Ralph jumps into different video games to attain his Medal. Other characters get involved in the mix, and try to follow him, including his opposite, Felix.

The film is fun …

The Best Iron Man 3 Trailer

A new Iron Man 3 trailer came out several days ago.  Yeah that was cool.  But you know what’s better than a high budget official preview?

A low budget Iron Man 3 trailer shot for shot complete with a beatbox soundtrack and sound effects.  The paper plate at 1:26 is epic.  Even though it’s considered low budget, I bet it took a long time making this vid.

Low budget Tony Stark > Robert Downey Jr IMO.

Great job Cinefix!…

Hangover 3 Spoof Poster

1st one was great.

2nd was funny but could’ve been better.
3rd comes out this Memorial weekend.

WB just released the movie poster for Hangover 3 and I love the Harry Potter reference.  It doesn’t really make sense though because Alan and Chow are good friends but still a funny poster.…

Evangelion: Makinami Mari Illustrious!

Evangelion: Makinami Mari Illustrious!

Years after Evangelion went by the way side but remained in the memories of fans, Hideaki Anno revived the series in 2007 with The Rebuild of Evangelion. The Rebuild is a series of movies that take a lot from the original Anime series and updates it with cleaner, more modern art and animation and alterations to the story through the plotlines and even whole scenes are changed in order to give the Rebuild of Evangelion a new look.

The first movie, “You are (NOT) Alone” features the introduction of Shinji and Rei along with all of the other recurring characters. …

Blu-Ray Review: Monsters, Inc. 3D

Blu-Ray Review: Monsters, Inc. 3D

Monsters, Inc., might be the most underrated Pixar flick to date.  While it grossed a whole bunch of money and loved by critics, fans don’t really mention Monsters as one of their favorite Pixar movie.  After watching it again, it’s easy to see why.  The synopsis sounds predictable with 2 monsters: big blue hairy Jake and the small one eyed Zakowski taking care of a human toddler named Boo.

Jake and his long time pal, Zakowski works at Monstropolis scaring little kids in the human world.  Sounds mean but they do to keep the city’s energy going.  The louder the kid …

Blu-ray Review: Peter Pan Diamond Edition

Blu-ray Review: Peter Pan Diamond Edition

Peter Pan is a CLASSIC animated movie.

It’s a classic in that it set new standards for cartoons including animation, storytelling and voice acting.  Originally released in 1953, Peter Pan tells the story of Wendy and her adventure in a mystical island called Never Land.  One night in her nice London home, the enthusiastic flying boy, Peter Pan takes her to the island along with her brothers.  Peter Pan has his friends in the Lost Boys and it’s their job is to stop the menacing Captain Hook and his comrades.

The animation looks dated compared to today’s animated flick but Peter …

Trailer: Fast & Furious 6

And, they’re back. Finally!

As expected, this looks like an absolutely entertaining over-the-top action movie, with The Rock crossing over from G.I. Joe to reprise the same role. Forget about The Rock’s great acting though, as this movie is about Toretto’s crew vs. Letty’s (Michelle Rodriguez) crew.
