Tim Burton’s latest flick is a fun and heartwarming surprise.

Much better than his latest live action movies, Alice In Wonderland & Dark Shadows, the stop motion Frankenweenie has a lot of good things going for it.

Main character Victor Frankenstein is a genius outcast.  He doesn’t have any friends besides his dog, Sparky.  As Victor is playing with Sparky in a seemingly good day, the dog gets accidentally run over and killed.  Victor uses his smart to revive his best friend just like in Mary Shelley’s classic tale.  Neighborhood  bullies get in on the act and accidentally revive all of …

The animated flick, Dark Knight Returns Part 1 was surprisingly great.  I thought it would be crap but I loved the tone and slow pace.  Just don’t confuse slow as boring because the movie was exciting.  I loved the buildup.

Part 2 comes out Jan 29th and Wb has released the first clip of slow ass Batman taking out slow reflex cops.  These clips look silly because it’s taken out of context of the entire film…I hope.  Anyways….

Finding Nemo is my favorite Pixar film.  The trailers weren’t interesting but when I watched it, I was hooked (get it?).  The tale is about a clown fish named Marlin.  Marlin was carefree but his life was turned upside down when a bigger fish attacked his wife and all their eggs.  Only one egg survived and he names his kid, Nemo.  Because of the tragic event, Merlin is over protective of his son.  Nemo gets caught by a scuba diver and the adventure begins as the father tries to search for his son.

The Story
Up is an animated film unlike others. It is a Pixar/Disney film nonetheless, but it covers a heavier theme than the studio’s other animated movies. Up focuses on an old man named Carl Frederickson. He is grumpy, lonely, and sad.

Both movies came out just in time for Christmas.…

Just in time for next week’s release (Dec. 4th) of the film on DVD/Blu-ray. Here’s a 13-minute video of Dark Knight Rises consisting mainly of the crew talking about their roles, and what Nolan wanted to achieve. While it’s mostly an admiration-fest of fellow cast members, it does have some interesting facts about the movie. Enjoy!

Pixar’s Brave introduces us to a mythical Scotland where Princess Merida is groomed to be the next Queen by her mom.  The movie starts great as we see Merida as a little girl playing outdoors with her mom.  A giant battle weary bear attacks her and her dad steps in to rescue her family.  Fast forward later and Merida’s mom has totally changed.  She’s not playful anymore and just wants Merida to act more like royalty so she can take over the throne with one of the bachelors from a different clan.  Merida is really good with a bow and runs …
