Last of the Mohicans, one of my favorite movies of all time finally came out in Blu-ray, and guess what? It’s disappointing. I’m talking about the video and audio quality of course. I remember watching this film in the theatres, and marveled the scenery, and the epic action scenes between the Indians and the red coats. I probably saw the film at least three times when it was released. Then came the VHS release, followed by the non-anamorphic DVD, and finally, the Blu-ray.

The Show Itself – A J.J Abrams production, Fringe is a wonderful story blending sci-fi with “realistic” investigations. I’ll be honest and say that I never saw the first season. So, I popped Season 2 on my PS3 not knowing what to expect. The first episode holds my attention. It starts off with a car accident, but when investigators arrive, the cars are empty. One man ran off, and this is where it gets strange, he breaks into somebody’s apartment, and shapeshifted. Yes, he’s a shapeshifter. The theory is that he was sent here by Aliens. Why? DC has released another animated movie and this time, it’s from Jeph Loeb’s, “The Supergirl From Krypton” from the Superman/Batman comic.  The art in the comic was done by the late Michael Turner and it’s a compelling story  I’m probably biased with the story because I attended a Michael Turner seminar at Wizard World as the comic books were being released and he was so enthusiastic about it.  As I was reading the comics, I can tell Turner really had fun with the project.  His artwork was dynamic and amazing, he even went with a darker costume for Batman.   The movie …

This alternate opening for Iron Man 2 popped up on youtube.  It shows Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) having a hangover before making a public appearance.  It also shows Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) kissing the mask.  This was shown in the trailer but not in the theatrical cut.  I’m not a big fan of Iron Man 2 so this alternate opening doesn’t do anything for me.  Wait, maybe they should’ve opened with this, then maybe Tony Stark wouldn’t have looked like a total asshole.  It would’ve established that he’s a drunk from the get go.

Okay folks, Supernatural Season 5 is out, and does not disappoint. This is probably the best season to date, pretty much every episode is enjoyable from top to bottom. Okay, there are a few lacklusters, but it’s 22 episodes so it’s only understandable.

Season 5 deals with one major issue, the Apocalypse. Lucifer is loose, and is bent on destroying earth as we know it. Also, the angels are involved, but they are angry as they have been abandoned by their Father, and is set on fighting Lucifer and his crew, even if it means destroying anything that gets in their …

Towards the end of Season 2, Dean (Jensen Ackles) offers his soul to the devil to save his brother Sam’s life. Batman: Under the Red Hood is a brutal, thrilling new animated tale from the Batman universe. The animated movie is based on a graphic novel by Judd Winick (who also wrote the screenplay for the animated movie). The movie runs a swift 75 minutes without one minute wasted. The movie takes the controversial death of Jason Todd story to a new dimension. Todd was beaten to death by the deranged Joker after comic book readers voted to have him killed off. The blu-ray disc is a 2 disc set crammed with excellent extras that really enhance the movie.
