Here’s Wanderlei Silva sparring with some teenager. Silva takes it easy on the kid but he does throw an open palm that looks heavy.
Not a fan of the kid’s dad though coaching him like they’re fighting in the UFC.…

Nick Diaz vs. Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos – Diaz has fought a bunch of strikers, and ended up finishing them off. But, Santos might be a different story. Santos was never considered a top contender in his weight class, but things have changed. Santos has been training with the likes of Rafael Cordeiro, along with Fabricio Werdum and Babalu. Santos’ last fight ended in a KO victory on Zaromskis. This will be a stand-up fight, as Diaz doesn’t have the takedown skills to get the fight on the ground. Santos will land some damaging blows, and finish the fight later in the …
On Saturday, Arianny Celeste and the UFC ring girls wore a camo 2-piece for the Fight For The Troops Event. Arianny got the biggest cheer whenever it was her turn to hold up the round but I think Brittany Palmer is becoming my favorite. Palmer was from WEC but since it merged with UFC, she’ll be sharing the job with Arianny and Chandella.
Throughout the show, fighters and celebs asked the viewers to donate to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. Some parts of the show were really emotional and UFC did a good job giving back to the troops.
This is no surprise as James has been an MMA fan for a long time. He has trained with the likes of Bas Rutten, and has worked with Rampage Jackson. In the film, James will play a teacher trying to revive his school’s music program, so he gets a second job as an MMA fighter. Surprisingly, he makes it to the UFC, just like Kimbo Slice did.
The UFC will be all over this idea as this is a great promotion for their product. As far as the story goes, it isn’t too far-fetched as one of the UFC’s superstars, Rich …
Through NERDSociety, I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to photograph one of the greatest Heavyweights in MMA, Fedor Emelianenko. I love photography, and better yet, I love MMA. So, being able to do both is like a dream come true. Not to mention that Fedor Emelianenko is considered by many to be the best Mixed Martial Artist of all time. Although, his legacy has suffered greatly in the last couple of years due to inactivity, and his management’s business play, Fedor is still one of my favorites.
Fedor has agreed to join STRIKEFORCE’s Heavy-weight tournament. He will …
Photographed by Daniel Herbertson, the Japanese fight scene has been overshadowed by the UFC as of late. However, they are still putting on shows that are making waves. The photography of Daniel Herbertson captures the different side of the fight game. The Japanese promotions are usually extravagant, and contains many pageantries. But, more importantly, they still produce some amazing fights.
These are some extraordinary images from the Japanese fight game.

June 26, 2010 was a historic night for MMA as Fabricio Werdum gave Fedor Emelianenko his “first” loss of his career. We were there to cover the event in San Jose and I totally forgot about this video. After the event, we went bar hopping, still shocked that Wedrum submitted Emelianenko. There were tons of Fedor fans drinking that night in downtown San Jose. That was our first time in San Jose so we just decided to check out the whole area. We saw a big group come out from one of the clubs, so we followed the commotion. It turned …
With UFC middleweight trash talker, Chael Sonnen pleading guilty to money laundering, I was thinking who else got trouble with the law so I created the list below. Sonnen’s white collar crime sounds really tame compared to these fighters:
Quinton “Rampage” Jackson
After losing his light heavyweight belt to underdog, Forrest Griffin, Jackson broke up with his then coach, Juanito Ibarra and went looney. He fasted for several days before going on a high speed with the California law enforcement. Along the chase, he hit several cars. A woman involved with the accident claimed she had a miscarriage due to Rampage. …
This is just plain nasty! MMA legend, Kazushi Sakuraba’s cauliflower ear rips from a punch.
Sakuraba is a great fighter, and have entertained MMA fans for over 10 years now. But, it’s time to hang it up buddy!…
MMA fans were treated to 8 exciting fights at Long Beach Fight Night 11. It was raining but the fans came in full force and the Long Beach City College gym was packed. There was a controversy, a few knockouts, Rampage-esque slams and submissions throughout the event. Below are the results:
Skylar Reider vs. Willie Gates
Reider quickly went for a takedown but Gates stuffed it. Standing up, Gates then tagged Reider with several shots. Gates went for the kill and threw some heavy bombs at Reider. Reider didn’t go down but the ref stopped it. The stoppage seemed a bit …
