ufc 127 Sydney Has Great MMA Fans

Over the weekend, Sydney, Australia was the host for UFC 127 featuring BJ Penn vs Jon Fitch.  From the moment the show started, the crowd was already energetic.  That great energy carried throughout the whole event and made for a fun experience.  The Australian crowd knew MMA and appreciated the takedowns, submission and grappling that the fighters put on.  Unlike here in Southern California (Los Angeles, Anaheim) where majority of the attendees just want brutal ko’s and boo right away when it hits the ground, the Australians really appreciated what MMA is all about.

Even Dennis Siver who beat their own …

MMA: Dana White Vlog UFC 127

MMA: Dana White Vlog UFC 127

This vlog was made for the upcoming UFC 127, but it also shows Dana’s reaction after Vitor Belfort got KOd by Anderson Silva at UFC 126.

Anybody notice Wanderlei Silva as Dana White went to talk to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers (I think that’s him) guy. Wanderlei is behind them, and didn’t look too happy that Anderson Silva won. Maybe, Wanderlei just felt bad for Vitor, or maybe he still dislikes Anderson Silva. I’m hoping for the latter.…

UFC 127 – Penn vs. Fitch Predictions

UFC127poster UFC 127 Penn vs. Fitch Predictions
Saturday, Feb. 26th – 7 Pm (PT)

BJ Penn vs. Jon Fitch – Penn is an exceptional fighter with an amazing sprawl. But, somehow I don’t think he has what it takes to keep Fitch from taking him down. Once on the ground, Fitch will control Penn from the top. Penn can try to submit Fitch, but it would be almost impossible. Fitch will win this fight on points.

Michael Bisping vs. Jorge Rivera – Hopefully, all the trash-talking that happened online will spill into the Octagon. Rivera is a good fighter, but Bisping is more active. Bisping …

Trailer: Fightville

Trailer: Fightville

Because of the popularity of the UFC, more and more MMA documentaries are coming out.

Fightville looks interesting. As a fan of the sport, there’s always room for more documentaries that gives us insight into a fighter’s persona coming into a fight. The last MMA documentary I saw was Driven. It’s an emotional story about the rise and fall of former UFC champion, Jens Pulver.

Jason David Frank aka The Green Ranger admitted that he punched a Legacy (MMA Organization) event staff.  The worker said he was punched after he was collecting MMA gloves from Frank’s team.  Frank told the employee he didn’t have the gloves but the kid started talking smack, saying:

“C’mon man, Jesus didn’t steal gloves” referring to Frank’s MMA clothing line, Jesus didn’t tap.

The worker claimed he tried to avoid the altercation but Frank posted on thecagedoor.net that he was accused of stealing the gloves.  Afterwards the worker kept on talking and pushed Frank.  Here’s what he said:

“Hey guys,

Fedor Emelianenko vs. Antonio “Big Foot” Silva – Although, most fans are counting Silva out, he has a good chance at beating Fedor. Silva’s stand-up keeps on improving and his ground game is top-notch. On the other hand, Fedor is coming off a loss, and will be hungry for a win. Fedor will be impressive, once again, in this fight. Fedor’s hand speed will be too much for Silva, Fedor will finish Silva with a TKO mid First Round.

Below is the interview:

Only problem is that Anderson Silva has been doing the movie before he trained with Seagal. Here’s Silva busting the move on Dan Henderson at UFC 82, March 1, 2008
