I downloaded the demo, not expecting much from it since the other UFC games sucked balls. But, to my surprise, this one is different. This game is very responsive, which is very important in all fighting games. The combinations are easy to throw, from punches to the kicks. However, the grappling aspect of the game is a little bit stiff, but one can get used to it with enough playing time.

It was another packed event at the Long Beach City College Gym for the fourth Long Beach Fight Night. Thomas Kenney headlined the event for the second time, and didn’t disappoint. The crowd was entertained, as most of the fights didn’t go to the distance.

Leites is a talented fighter but not up to par with Anderson Silva. UFC should have given him more fights under his belt before feeding him to one of the most dominant fighter in UFC history. Leites will put up a  good fight but will get KOd by Silva.

I first met Thomas Kenney when my friend, Jorge, invited to their MMA school back in 2003.  I’ve always been into martial arts so I checked it out.  This wasn’t your average martial arts gym,  the session was on a Thursday morning and they were going all out with their drills and grappling.  Kenney was the head instructor for the day, he quickly introduced himself, and asked me if I wanted to train with them.  I happily agreed and grappled with his students. Charles Lewis aka “Mask” died from a car accident last night.  The report seems to indicate that Lewis was racing in his Ferrari against a Porsche.  The Porsche driver lost control of the vehicle and hit Lewis Ferrari.  Lewis lost control of the car, went over a curb and then hit a lightpole.  Investigations are still going on.

Lewis was the co-founder of Tapout, a popular MMA clothing line.  While most hardcore fans hated his off the wall antics, I always liked the guy.  Lewis was a true MMA fan and supporter.  Tapout sponsored lesser known fighters as well as most …

After finishing tough opponents in 08, Gegard Mousasi became a household name in the MMA community. Although, Mousasi fought in Pride FC before, his rise to stardom was not complete until he became the Dreams’ Middleweight GP 08 champion. He faced formidable opponents in the tourney: including the elite striker, Melvin Manhoef; and the submission specialist, Jacare. In the the end, Mousasi finished both fighters in the first round.
