Wizard World Comic Con will make its way to Anaheim this weekend, April 29 – May 1 at the Anaheim Convention Center.  The lineup looks pretty impressive and includes actors, artists and WWE/WWF stars.

It was just announced today that the villain in Zack Snyder’s Superman movie will be Zod and he will be played by none other than Boardwalk Empire’s twisted policeman Michael Shannon.  Here is the official announcement compliments of Deadline New York:

Okay, well, not Spock but Leonard Nimoy.  The Star Trek alum will be taking another turn as a Transformer in the next installment.  He will be lending his voice to Sentinel Prime, a precursor to Optimus.  This won’t be the first time Nimoy has contributed his voice to the Transformer franchise.  In 1986 he was Galavatron in Transformers: The Movie.

In a disappointing move for this Netflix user, Criterion has given Hulu the rights to stream their collection and has committed to adding 150 films to Hulu and Hulu Plus with another 800 to be added in the upcoming months.  The Director of the Criterion Collection, Peter Becker, raved about Hulu saying:  “… they get it. Detroit will build a Robocop statue after a fundraising run that started last week reached its goal of $50,000. But, the fundraisers will not stop there, they plan on pushing for more fundraising events to help create a more positive image for Detroit.

Now, kids can go out and buy Robocop I and II on DVD …….. Nevermind, they should stick to Robocop III.

As previously reported on Nerdsociety, NBC had greenlighted a Wonder Woman pilot to be written and produced by David E. Kelley of Harry’s Law and Ally McBeal, a guy who obviously has a lot of experience writing for strong female characters.  According to Deadline Hollywood, Adrianne Palicki has landed the title role in the reboot.  She was reportedly the only actress called in to screen test.  You also might recognize her from Friday Night Lights, Legion and Electra Luxxx.  The director of the pilot Jeff Reiner, coincidentally, also directed Friday Night Lights.
