As if all their recent troubles with hacking and outages weren’t enough, now a 12-year-old girl goes missing after meeting a 20-year old man using Playstation’s internet social networking feature.  The girl was apparently picked up by the man at her home in Whittier, CA and was whisked away to his mother’s house, only to be found by police later.  The man is in custody and is being questioned by police.  The girl is reportedly unharmed.

There is a lot of speculation about this “red band” trailer going on, that it was leaked by Sony, that it was camcorded in a European movie theater… Either way, it’s out now, and we finally get to see the first glimpses of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

My initial response was that it seems to be following the original movie pretty closely which is probably a good idea.  It looks pretty good from what I can tell.  Here’s the tailer:

It was just announced recently that Hatsune Miku, the virtual pop star, will be performing (instead of “live” it’s in 3D) in concert at this year’s Anime Expo in Los Angeles.  The event will take place in the Nokia theater on July 2nd.  The Nokia theater is right next door to the Los Angeles Convention Center, which is where the Anime Expo is being held.

File-sharers beware!  Film companies now pay people to go on bit-torrent sites and collect IP address of people sharing and downloading files. In what is being called “the single largest illegal bit-torrent downloading case in US history,” a federal judge has given the go-ahead to subpoena ISP’s to find out the identity of everybody who downloaded Sly Stallone’s Expendables off the internet. Over 23,000 unsuspecting file-sharers are being targeted for downloading the film.  This number will most likely increase as more are discovered.

Vegas is filling up for the Pacquiao / Mosley fight on Saturday, May 7 (tomorrow) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.  Good luck getting a cheap hotel room this late in the game, that’s all I have to say.  PPV is your best option at this point!  Here’s some video of Pacquiao getting mobbed by the press on Wednesday, his last day of training before the big fight.  You can find more videos here on the Pac Man’s website.
