Former WWE and UFC “champ” Brock Lesnar and his hunting guide apparently shot a couple of deer buck in November in Alberta, Canada and only took the head, leaving behind the rotting carcass.  This is not only against the law but also violates some lame code about hunters really only supposed to be killing deer for the meat.  According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Lesnar is facing three charges including “leaving meat to rot, improper tagging, and illegal possession of wildlife.”  Either Lesnar failed to secure his fish and wildlife tags to the deer or he never got any authorization …

What I wouldn’t give to see this bout on pay per view. On the Southwest side of Chicago around 11:30pm Friday night, 24 year old Anthony Miranda was beat and shot with his own gun by a UFC fighter during an attempted robbery/carjacking.  The 33 year old victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, said that he was sitting in his car when the assailant approached him and asked for a light.  When he said he didn’t have one, Miranda pulled out a gun and said to give him all his belongings.  The UFC fighter turned over his valuables and then Miranda …

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra brought their awesome show to Philly yesterday for 2 shows. I attended the 3pm show where a very good crowd of 10,100 people attended. Everyone seemed to be in a great mood and the show was terrific. The band played for nearly 2 1/2 hours and the ticket prices were certainly fair considering their amazing “living” stage and the spectacle of lazers and lights. It was akin to being at a rock rave.

In Aurora, Colorado today, a 31 year old guy became enraged when his local Best Buy ran out of Modern Warfare 3 and threatened to blow up the store using some sort of incendiary device. When Fox Searchlight picked up US distribution rights for this critically-acclaimed film, it was with the stipulation that if it ever did get slapped with an NC-17 rating, the dirty parts could not be edited out.   Of course according to reviews I’ve read, this would mean there would be virtually nothing left of the film to watch because Fassbender goes full Magneto throughout most of it.  His co-star Carey Mulligan (Drive, Never Let Me Go) bares all as well.

If you weren’t one of those who dished out $70. bucks last weekend to watch Mayweather vs. Ortiz on PPV, HBO has a special on the fight which goes behind the scenes with interviews, recaps, and shows the controversial match itself with slow-mo replays of Ortiz’s dreaded head butt and Mayweather’s ensuing sucker punch.

As someone who lost all respect for Mayweather when he royally punked out of fighting Pacquiao with his ridiculous last minute demands of drug testing, I was already rooting for Ortiz… especially now that Pacquiao has agreed to Mayweather’s demands and he’s still running scared.
