Eva Air first rolled out their Hello Kitty jet three years ago (to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the original Hello Kitty airplane) and they keep adding new routes. The first three planes were averaging 85-90% occupancy so Eva Air officials decided to add two more of the planes just this year.  Who’s to say they won’t eventually head on over to the US?

Cosplayers beware! You might want to rethink trying to bring any of your steampunk gear on an airplane. This watch caused a bit of a furor at the Oakland airport when some TSA agents saw it pass through an x-ray machine just before Thanksgiving. As you can imagine, it looked to them like a miniature explosive device and – not being familiar with steampunk – they stopped the owner of the watch, artist Jeoffrey McGann, 49, of Rancho Palos Verdes, and questioned him.

PETA posted this image on their website yesterday along with allegations that several animals were “allegedly maimed or killed” on the set of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey including “five horses, a pony, and several goats, sheep, and chickens.” If you’ve seen the Lord of the Rings films, you’d know that Jackson employs a lot of animals, mainly horses, so this is a very serious claim.Throughout the entire filming of the first three movies, no one had levied any sort of animal cruelty accusations against Jackson’s production team. Sylvester Stallone told Deadline.com not two days ago that Nic Cage was NOT confirmed for Expendables 3, it turns out that the Spanish website that was the original source of the story suffered a translation issue, what Stallone said in the original report was that Nic Cage along with Harrison Ford, Mickey Rourke and Wesley Snipes are actors he would look too see in the third film.

Over 60 years ago, manga master Osamu Tezuka (Astro Boy, Kimba the White Lion), only into his late teens, gave a 19-page unpublished manga to a friend from middle-school. It was only this past April that the manga surfaced in a used book store in Tokyo.

Tezuka Productions confirmed that the work was done by the late master (who passed away in 1989) then purchased the unpublished work for the equivalent of $37,000 US dollars. According to Latino-Review, Guillermo del Toro has been signed on to direct a DC film called Heaven Sent that will star many of the companies magic based characters, the current roster is as follows: Deadman, Zatanna, Zatara, The Spectre, Swamp Thing, Constantine Hellblazer, Phantom Stranger, Sargon and finally Entrigan the Demon.

Del Toro is certainly has the experience and creative vision to pull of a film, his Hellboy films are proof of this and those are certainly a good foundation for how to make Heaven Sent a success since these films share MANY similarities to each other at this stage.
