Check out the trailer for the most expensive Bollywood movie ever, Endhiran (which means Robot).  It looks like RoboCop mixed with iRobot and of course, some singing.  The movie involved several big Hollywood names including fight choreographer, Yuen Woo Ping, special effects company ILM and Stan Winston Studio (Jurassic Park, Predator).

In another zombie news, after months of denial, Activision just confirmed that the fan favorite “zombies” will appear in Call Of Duty: Black Ops.  The zombies only appearred in Treyarch’s game, World At War and wasn’t featured on Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare series.  Killing zombies in multiplayer mode has become addicting as they attack you and your buddies.  The further you progress, the more zombies show up.

Segway, the personal transporter, was hyped pretty good when it first came out in 2002.  It was featured on every media outlet.  While Segways are still used today by security and law enforcement for crowd control, it didn’t have the impact the owner James Heselden had hoped.  No one bought it for their personal use and it didn’t live up to the hype.  Well today, Yahoo reported that Heselden was riding his segway in England and he fell over a cliff and died.  He fell 30 feet and his body was found on in the river below.

IGN has reported that Sony issued a consumer alert telling gamers to be aware of fake PS3 controllers that have been known to explode. 

Sony states:

“SCEA advises consumers to be cautious when buying PlayStation 3 wireless controllers from uncertain sources as the quality, reliability and safety of counterfeit products is uncertain, and in some cases, may be dangerous.  It is possible that some counterfeit product may ignite or explode, resulting in injury or damage to the user, your PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, or other property”

The counterfeit controllers look identical to the legit Sony version.  So be careful …

Sesame Street released short clips to promote its new season and one of them featured the sexy Katy Perry singing a revised version of  “Hot And Cold” with Elmo.  When the video was released, parents (I’d assume mostly moms) were outrage by Perry’s cleavage.  There’s a couple of scenes of her running around that probably shouldn’t be watched by toddlers.  With the feedback the video is getting, Sesame Street has decided to remove the segment.  The video will still be up on Katy Perry’s official site.

Looks epic!

I like the whole feel of the game, but the steam punk-ish setting really stands out for me! The first Bioshock was amazing, as it took us to an underwater city devoured by research gone wrong. The second is a bit different, as we play as Big Daddy, you know that big robot looking thing on all the posters. 2K has done two great games, and it looks like the 3rd one will live up to the first two, can’t wait!

It’ll be a long wait as this game isn’t set to be released until 2012. Meantime, I can …

I didn’t think the PS3 was this powerful but Sony’s latest firmware upgrade, 3.5, enables support for 3D for its games and movies.  I’m surprised Sony released this firmware this soon because not many titles are in 3d.  Maybe they get a comission for every PS3 game/Blu Ray 3D title that’s sold.  There’s a drawback to using the 3D feature though, no lossless sound.  Lossless sound will automatically downgrade to either Dolby Digital or DTS.  Now maybe I’ll get the 3-D version of Avatar whenever that’s coming out.

DC’s superstar writer, Grant Morrison (Batman, JLA) will be working with artist Frank Quitely (All-Star Superman) on a new comic, Pax Americana.  Characters from Charlton Comics that Watchmen characters were based off will be the primary focus.  Morrison wants a similar story to Watchmen but the backdrop will be today’s political climate instead of the Cold War.
