The latest poster for Avengers looks like crap with clearly photoshopped faces of the stars to make sure we know who’s in the movie.  Lego did their own version and it actually looks better because it’s funnier and more clever. 2 million Lego Avengers poster will be given to fans on opening day, May 4th.  No detailed announcement has been made which theaters will hand them out.

After seeing Bruce Lee kicked butt in Chinese Connection, he became my first hero…Rambo was my second but that’s a write up for another time.  Bruce’s daughter, Shannon Lee, has been trying to revitalize her father’s legend by producing a documentary on spike, working with UFC and releasing 6 inch figures.  While I didn’t really like the “elegant” style Shannon brought to the table (it should’ve been more raw and aggressive), there’s new figures that I really like.

Legoland in Carlsbad, CA opened 13 years ago and while it didn’t have the success Lego has hoped, it’s still chugging along.  Starting this Saturday, March 31st, Legoland opens its newest atraction, Star Wars Miniland. The attraction will have 6 scenes made out of Lego from the movies ranging from the Hoth battle in Empire Strikes Back to the battle of Naboo in the Phantom Menace.

Kotobukiya is a Japanese company, so it’s no surprise that they came up with a weird collectible..Alien chopsticks.  It comes in 3 flavors…facehugger, big chap  & chest burster.

I think these chopsticks will be awesome for people on a diet like myself (high cholesterol).

“That nodles looks great”

Then as you start eating it, your chopsticks will remind you that what you eat might  burst from your chest.

Kobra Khan.

Kobra Khan, the single figure for March in the Club Eternia subscription service. The white mailer box features “Valley of Gnarl” at the bottom which is apparently to keep trademarks—its not a game after all, how disappointing.

Featuring a great sculpt with all elements being part of the body without any extra armor, Kobra Khan looks very close to the original minus the water squirt action feature. Kobra Khan has multiple points of articulation including the newer rocker ankles, this Evil Master of Snakes can be posed to the collector’s imagination.

I sold most of my collectibles several years ago because I was in a crappy situation that I had no control over.  I sold my favorite figures including Spawn, DC & Marvel figures.  The Batman figures & statues I sold hurt the most because it was the Caped Crusader that introduced me to nerdom.  Luckily, I sold most of it to my close friend so it doesn’t hurt as bad because I know it’s well taken care of.  After selling most of my collection, I promised myself not to collect anymore because it broke my heart.  Throughout the years, my friends …

This exhibit isn’t your typical props & costume Star Wars gallery.  Identities goes beyond that and discusses the social decisions the characters in the movie and its impact.  It covers all 6 movies so I hope it’ll explain how Darth Vader doesn’t recognize C-3PO & R2-D2.  The exhibit will also let you know which Star Wars character you’d be, based on what answers you give to several questions.  This sounds really because everyone gets involved.

3A Toys is selling a 1/48th scale of Metal Gear Solid REX for $500.  The REX measures 15″ tall, 15″ wide and 20″ long with a 23″ railgun.  If you’ve got money to burn, you can buy it here, but for some reason, none of the products are showing up.  Maybe they’re updating the site…

I don’t have any Play Arts figure….YET, but I think these are the best toys in the market right now..for the smaller scale that is (Hot Toys is still probably the best overall with their 12 inch figures).  The sculpts are good and there’s a lot of articulation.  They just announced a Harley Quinn figure based on the game, Arkham City.  It’ll probably be around 8-9 inches and comes with a cane and scarface, the wooden dummy.

The figure is scheduled for release in early summer, probably May or June.  It retails for $60.…
