The 2009 G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra movie figures set a new standard in the line with great detail, a load of accessories and excellent packaging.

Just in time for the Chinese New Year in February is the newest Android figure.  They’re easily available in Asia but hard to get here in the U.S.  Dyzplastic is offerring a drawing for a chance to get the figure for $10 a pop. 

Droid has a long way to catch up with the iPhone but last I heard they were activating 9,000 subscribers per day.…

A couple of weeks ago, we covered the great score of Tron from Daft Punk.  Well, Medicom must’ve loved the score as well, because they have announced 12 inch figures for the French electronica duo.  Not much details have been released for the figures but they will be released in the second quarter of this year!   These are priced at $230 per figure so they will be extremely limited.

In 1985 a favorite stinky figure was released for Masters of the Universe. Stinkor whose plastic was molded with patchouli oil stunk up homes all over the world.

Created by recoloring Mer-Man, Stinkor was given the paint scheme of black with white stripes giving him the appearance of a skunk. Recolored armor from Mechaneck gave Stinkor a cool breathing apparatus so he didn’t stink himself out.

Having one of the coolest and very memorable weapons, Stinkor came with a bright blue shield which was a repaint of the battle worn piece that came with the Castle Grayskull weapons rack.

In the early 90’s the character Bane came out of nowhere and in a few comic stories he freed all of the villains from Arkham, plotted the destruction of Batman and then finished the job by breaking Bruce Wayne’s back.

Everytime J.J. Abrams (Lost, Cloverfield, Star Trek) is involved in a project, you always see a red tin robot as his logo for Bad Robot.  You don’t really see his fully body in the logo but Entertainment Earth just announced they’ll be selling the statue for $90.  It’s limited to 1000 pieces and comes with a slusho drink that can fit in his hand.
