Sideshow and Hot Toys has just released their newest DX figure, Jack Sparrow from POTC: On Stranger Tides. Expect the figure to be very detailed and kickass weapons and accessories. This 12 inch figure will retail for around $225 and be available for pre-order tomorrow. No release date has been announced.

Kotobukiya is releasing another Bishoujo statue, this time it’s for Ghostbusters. There’s no chicks in the team, so they made up a new female character. Just think of it as an excuse to have a sexy figure with a Ghostbusters theme. The figure comes out September and retails for $51.

Ame-comi is a DC Direct action figure line consisting of female characters influenced by Japanese anime. I have one figure from the line, Wonder Woman. At $50 per figure and rising, they’re not cheap. I thought this line wasn’t popular because most toy messageboards I frequent, don’t like the line. The collector’s think it’s overpriced, while the hardcore anime fans think that it doesn’t represent manga very well.

The February figures are in! This month offers the Club Eternia exclusive figure Preternia Disguise He-Man complete with fold out map of Etheria.
When I first heard about Preternia Disguise He-Man I was quite unimpressed. The figure shows very little detail being that He-Man is robed and has a robber mask. Seeing the figure up close still makes me feel unimpressed–He’s no Wun-Dar but, he is cool in his own way.

Miku Hatsune the aqua-haired diva is probably one of the biggest stars in Japan. Starting out like most Pop Idol’s singing on computer screens after the USER typed in the words on the Vocaloid 2 music program.
