Lego has announced they have partnered up with the two biggest comic book companies in the world, DC and Marvel. It’s a bit odd that two competing companies would agree to work with the same company but I guess Lego is a cash cow for them. Lego used to do Batman but got discontinued and now they’re fetching for a pretty penny on the secondary market. I can’t wait to see the new sets!
Lego also showed this Star Wars teaser airing on Cartoon network tonight at 7pm:

Here’s a pic of the collector’s edition for Arkham City. At first I thought it was a statue by DC Direct since they did a Black & White Batman version from the first game. But this one will be from Kotobukiya and probably made of vinyl. The rest of the set includes an art book, cards, DLC and soundtrack.

Artist and toy customizer, Peter Clute likes to do mash ups. He did one of Wall-E with gattling guns. His latest project has Buzz and Woody combined with Terminator characters. I like Buzz better with the T-800 skull. It’s something Sid (Toy Story) would make.
The new prize of my G.I. Joe collection! This is the canceled mail-away that connected the Rise of Cobra line to the Pursuit of Cobra line. Packaged in a mailing box denoting The Rise of Cobra movie, Cobra Commander slides out to reveal a TROC packaging with the card graphics of the Pursuit of Cobra “chase” figure packaging. The red background with “Cobra” in place of “G.I. Joe” is adorned with art of the Commander himself. The back of the package has an ID card and a letter from “CC.”
Our friend Steve Wang, has created his latest masterpiece, a ceremonial Predator Mask courtey of Sideshow. It’ll only cost your $325 to get this bad boy! Wang directed the live action Guyver movies and you can see the influence on the mask. This one looks organic and doesn’t look metal.
Waiting 5 or 6 months for a pre-order is a headache in itself, however I couldn’t be more happier!
Mato Kuroi is Black Rock Shooter. Introduced in the OVA that was included with the BRS Figma, Mato is a happy middle school kid that makes friends with Yomi who just so happens to be Dead Master the rival of Black Rock Shooter.
The OVA is about 50 minutes and it’s mostly easy to follow, there are elements of the story that seem to lead the viewer to think that Mato and Yomi are more than friends; after all, Mato does tell …
Thanks to everybody that joined the contest. There were so many responses (71 total and we read all of it) and it took us longer than expected to choose the winners. Didn’t know there was so much love for Luigi and Yoshi. I predicted most answers (Who’s your favorite Mario character and why?) would be for Mario, boy was I wrong.
We chose the winners based on originality and cool factor…yes it was really hard because of the awesome answers. The first one goes to Emma:
“Toadette, because that’s what my brother used to call me when I was little. …
HELL YEAH!
My favorite Hot Toys figure that I can’t afford (selling for as much as $600 on eBay) will be sold again through conventions, with Comic-Con being one of them. Price hasn’t been announced but I’m guessing around $250-$300. The figure comes with different sculpted heads, as well as another costume.
Now time to figure out and get stressed on how to secure this item.

Threadless is having a $10 sale for all of their shirts. Now’s the time to stock up on cool shirts with great fabric. Regularly, they sell for $20 but they have these awesome sales about 3-4 times a year. The sale ends on July 5th, 10 am central time. But I suggest getting them now because they sell out of the cool designs quickly. I bought 3 this time around, here they are:
