street fighter the legend of seth The Legend of Seth Killian: Interview with Capcom’s Finest

Recently we had a chance to talk to the legend. No, not Bagger Vance. We’re talking about Seth Killian, a legend in the Street Fighter community and Capcom’s Producer and Senior Manager. Seth Killian (SK): SFIV.  SF3 has given us a lot of incredible moments and really sings in the hands of top players, but my parrying skills are soft and playing SFIV really takes me back to the core of Street …

Circuit City’s Last Day on Earth

No love for Big Willie?

This weekend I went to Circuit City for their last day on Earth. Pretty much everything’s gone. They were selling almost everything other than their usual lineups; like clipboards, crates, name tags, receipt papers, and tampons (yeah, you read that right). Below are some pictures of what’s left of Circuit City’s inventory (images courtesy of our secret insider, JR).

Looks like a certain lady has uncontrollable problems. Luckily, Circuit City was there to save the day with a lifetime supply of Tampax Tampons. Does that mean Best Buy is going to sell condoms now?

They say Disneyland is the “Happiest Place on Earth.” What they forgot to mention was, “Disneyland is also the coolest place to work.” The reason for that is that the “Cast Members” every year gets to participate in a musical event called Flashback. This year is Flashback International 2009 and the event was this past week at the Hyperion Theater in Disney’s California Adventure.

“Throughout the past 11 seasons, over 2,250 Disneyland® Resort Cast Members have joined the Flashback family. We estimate that Flashback Cast Members have donated over 300,000 VoluntEARS hours and $210,000 to local charities. Beyond the Cast Members

Nerdsociety (NS):  Who do you think is the #1 P4P fighter and why?
Gegard Mousasi (GM):  Fedor and GSP.  Well Fedor has won all of his fights, except for the cut against Kohsaka.  There is no doubt he is the best.  He has also beaten top competition.  He fought fighters in their prime, like Cro Cop, Arlovski and Nogueira.

GSP is also great because he’s a dominant fighter.  He’s very athletic.  …

NS: How did you come up with the idea of combining the fantasy world with the real world?

JSM:  Simply because it’s what I had in mind: I don’t know, it just came like this.

Do you plan everything out before you go out on your shoots?

Street Fighter IV Party!

Street Fighter IV Party!

my photo Street Fighter IV Party!

Two days after the Street Fighter IV launch party at the MOCA in downtown LA, Capcom and GameStop held another Street Fighter IV event.  This time it was for a tournament and party at the Universal CityWalk in CA.  It was a great way to promote the game and now I want to get my rear to the nearest store to grab me a copy.

The GameStop store had most of their kiosks setup with SFIV, except for the Wii kiosks (sorry Wii owners). They also had a Venom energy drink booth, where the lovely booth girls would serve you up …
