I recently attended Comic-Con and let me say it was a blast, well that’s because I was busy flirting with the babes (shhh, don’t tell the girlfriend). Throughout the event, we did video interviews and got a chance to attend the Kamen Rider panel.

Long Beach City College Gymnasium was packed again for Long Beach Fight Night 5. Including in the attendance were Renato “Babalu” Sobral, Fabricio Wedrum and Affliction President, Tom Atencio. There were a total of ten fights and some ended in brutal knockouts.

Jacob Fishel vs. Nich Reale
The first fight was a back and forth battle. It was a pretty even match but Fishel scored more points on takedowns and ground control. The fight went to the judge where Fishel got the split decision.

The first 2 rounds didn’t have much action …
The Tentacle Monster covers Anime Expo, up and down, left and right. He meets pornstar Amber Rayne, cosplayers, dances to Love and Joy and learns the art of traditional Japanese dance. The Tentacle Monster also competes against Ezio from Assassin’s Creed 2 and Chun-Li in Street Fighter 4. Of course nothing’s complete without the cosplaying cuties to finish up the Anime Expo experience.…

NERDSociety recently had a chance to interview VAMPS for their upcoming VAMPS LIVE 2009 USA Tour.
Here’s the rundown – VAMPS is a band formed by Hyde (L’Arc-en-Ciel) and K.A.Z. (Oblivion Dust) who have been collaborating with each since Hyde’s solo work back in 2003. Below you can check out their rockin’ music video, “LOVE ADDICT,” to get a taste of their tunes.

I went to see Celtic Woman’s new “Isle of Hope” concert at the Mann in Philadelphia with my girlfriend over the weekend. The concert was spectacular, but if you’ve seen them perform on PBS or bought any of their CDs or DVDs, you already know that. Seeing them live was very cool and having such great seats helped a lot. The Mann is outdoors (covered) so having nice weather is an important factor. Luckily, the weather was excellent.
