Back in season 2 when Sophia stumbled out of that barn as a walker, it was such a great moment in television. The characters had spent the better part of the season up to that point looking for her and we saw Carol grieving and Daryl searching. Have you ever come to a realization while watching a film that the acting unfolding before your eyes could very well be an Oscar winning performance? I experienced that sensation about halfway through Nightcrawler.  In case you’re wondering, this film is not about Marvel’s blue-skinned, fanged, cloven-hoofed teleporter. It’s actually about a man who forges a career as a video reporter in Los Angeles.

To say that Nightcrawler is a great movie wouldn’t come close to explaining how good this film is. It’s a freaking awesome movie, and much of the film’s accomplishment must be credited to Jake Gyllenhaal, who turns …

The Death of Wolverine by Charles Soule and Steve McNiven is one of the most important comics to come out in the last few years, a statement which I do not make lightly. In a medium infamous for its gimmicky, poorly thought out and (mostly) poorly written Death of *insert character name here* story-lines, Death of Wolverine is the shining exception to the previous two rules.

The location was not good for starters Asuka thought as she arrived at a dark shrine that was lit just barely with torches. The second issue was who she was going to fight in order to advance. The fights against Phoenix and Christie were fun; the kind she liked where her life wasn’t on the line, this would be different.
