ROB – The first time I cosplayed was at New York Comic Con 2013 with my best friend: I was Jules Winfield and he was Vinny Vegas. My girlfriend was supergirl. I officially started cosplaying when I moved to Chicago from NYC on Novemeber 1st at a Halloween party at Green Lantern a cosplay I still do and have upgrades to as well. The first built cosplay is my famous Red Hood which I made all myself except for the helmet.

Talk about a lot of items for the month of August—a lot of money too…

So, let’s cut to the chase and start with the quarterly variant that is Buzz Saw Hordak.

My first impressions on this figure are actually good—amazing right? The usual bits are as follows…Hordak is packaged in the standard bubble—what is really cool is that his chest is open revealing the saw blade, and if I remember correctly, that is how the original 80’s figure was packaged.

I am seeing something She-Ra. I am seeing that beyond the Whispering Woods there is a magical figure that has traveled a long way. My omnivision tells me that Peekablue is the Masters of the Universe Classics release for July, and she is finally here! Let’s check her out.

There is a certain amount of uneasiness that the sleepy little town of Alexandria inspires in our main characters. They’ve already given in to their fantasy of a “normal life” when they were back at the prison but all their dreams were effectively blown to bits by the governor. They’re understandably gun-shy. We were invited by Universal to take a behind the scenes look of Oblivion at their studio.  Our visit consisted of 3 stops: props, special effects and aircraft (bubble) design.

The first stop was at the props department where we were informed about the little details on the costumes.  As viewers, we wouldn’t notice it but Jack’s costume had details that gave us clues to his origin.  I won’t spoil it for anybody but pay attention to the number in his suit.  Pretty obvious once you see it.  We were also informed about the weapons used.  The director wanted to make …

While Marvel might have the current monopoly on bankable superhero films, DC and Warner Bros. seem to be doing a lot better with their video games. But while I thoroughly enjoyed the Batman: Arkham City game, I found that the Arkham Origins game to be lacking somehow.  Just more of the same stuff with slightly better animation.

I’m hoping Arkham Knight gives us more of these other characters like Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy without having to spend too much on DLC.  If it can recapture the magic from Arkham City by offering the open city environment allowing for lots of …
