Marvel Scared of Dark Themes?

ant man movie logo 1024x690 Marvel Scared of Dark Themes?

With the recent news that Scott Lang would be the Ant-Man in the upcoming Edgar Wright film in 2014 and Hank Pym passing the mantle to Lang, I got to thinking is this just Marvels way of keeping the darker themes out of their movies?

The MCU is known to be accessible to everyone and this has given them hundreds of millions of dollars from their movies and toys based on the movies etc. But news of Hank Pym just being the guy passing down the mantle of Ant-Man to Scott Lang and just being a secondary character, along with Demon …

Blu-ray Review: The Secret World of Arrietty

Secret World 1 Blu ray Review: The Secret World of Arrietty

The Secret World of Arrietty is another lush, visually enthralling classic from Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. Dubbed with great care by Disney and now on blu-ray with an amazing transfer, the movie springs to life. Based on the novel The Borrowers and written by the master Miyazaki, the look of the movie is quite stunning and full of vibrant life. The story also has a gentle message about respecting all creatures and beings regardless of their size or place in the food chain. Far from preachy, the movie is also just a fun adventure that bounces along from one great …

Disney Assault At California Resort

Disney Assault At California Resort

This happened outside the Tower Of Terror ride at the Disney California theme park (right across from it is Disneyland).  The guy seems to be drunk and I have no problem that the old security guard peppered spray the crap out of him.  Supposedly there’s undercover security everywhere at Disney’s theme parks but it sure took a long time for backup to arrive.  The guys at the end are probably undercover because they restrained the assailant pretty good.  The cops were called in and the assailant was arrested and released several hours later.

I just wished the female armchair quarterback was …
