It’s always a blast at Anime Expo. This year I thought Anime Expo being in
Los Angeles was a bad idea, but as the days pass by, it wasn’t so bad. Things of note: two of my buddies got shafted for inappropriate cosplaying outfits, ninjas striking mercilessly, glomps out of nowhere, crossplayers and Bleach and Naruto is everywhere.

Even though it was really hot, day 2 was fun. 2 of our writers dressed up as…purple Octopus’s, yeah that’s it. One of the writer’s girlfriend dressed up as a Lolita. Talked to cos-players and just had fun messing around. The video footage should be up soon. We arrived around 8pm because of work. By the time we got there, the place was already pretty empty. Still saw some cool costumes. Funniest part was John dancing with the guy carrying the boombox. The boombox guy was shocked and didn’t know what to do. Good times. We’ll be updating the site throughout the weekend to bring you pictures and reports from AX.

Well here I am at work, counting down the time on my computer’s taskbar.  It’s taking FOREVER!!!  Got really wasted on my birthday last night.  Now I must conserve energy to attend Anime Expo in the Los Angeles Convention Center.  The thing to look forward to AX is the cute sexy cosplayer outfits.  It’s going to be the first time it’s held at the LA Convention Center.  Attendance is always growing by the thousands.  We’ll see how it does this time in the city of angels.…

 I’m so choked up right now, sniff sniff.  I’m proud to see my other Spartan brothers and sister representing in the East Coast.  Draon*Con takes place in Atlanta, Georgia, and is the biggest convention for anything nerd related.  From comics to games to movies.

Oh wow, just got back from Comic Con 2007 and boy am I tired.  I finally got my new sandals and decided to test it out.  Walking around in that thing is painful, the material wa rubbing against my skin and peeling it off.  Right now my foot is really sore and not pretty to look at.  Other than that, Comic Con was great.

Spartan Cosplay Anime Expo 2007

I’m so sad that Anime Expo is finally over.  It’s one of those events that I had such a blast because everybody there is into the same shit as you (that’s if you like anime of course.)  My Spartan cosplay outfit made it in time for AX 2007.  I had my 2 other friends, Andy and Steve, dressed up as Spartans with me on Friday.  One of them, Andy, I had drama with (long story, but let’s just say his brother Denny is a dipshit who would take his own brother’s girl), so it dropped to …

There are 2 main important thing for me to be a Spartan.  The 1st one is the body(still working on that one =P), and the outfit.  It’s jam time for me since Anime Expo is in one more week.  A Spartan is no Spartan without his gear.  Each Spartan back then built their own armor and each would have their own unique style to it.  The most coolest thing about a Spartan would have to be the helm.

I started off with cardboard to shape the helm.

Coated it with fiberglass for toughness.

Covered it with Apoxie Sculpt for texture.

I knew a movie can get me off my ass to go workout. But it’s not just any movie. It’s 300! Anybody who’s seen it knows how much the Spartans tore shit up. It wasn’t until April 15th that I found this book, “Burn the Gat, Keep the Muscle” by Tom Venuto, that pushed me further to workout. And ever since, I’ve been working out and eating right (gotta get that six-pack!!!). I’ve been slacking off recently, but I’m still aiming for that path. So far, as of June 11th, I’ve lost 20 lbs (about less than 2 months).
