Dustin Nguyen, the superstar artist for Detective Comics, Batman: Streets Of Gotham and the current Lil Gotham will be appearring at Long Beach Comic Con (LBCC) tomorrow, May 11th.

The convention will also have other artists and celebs including J Salvador, David Mack and Joel Gomez

I saw him walking around the artists alley at WonderCon.  He said he loves comic conventions and wanted to join the festivity.

The event was held in Anaheim and close to his MMA school in Garden Grove.

Anime Vegas 2012 was held at the Cashman convention center over this past weekend. The facilities were beautiful and provided a great venue for the event. Very Awesome Girls Into Nerdy Activities is a club out of Las Vegas of close to 50 ladies who engage in various events and contribute to charities around town as a group. They range in age from 18 to their 30’s and are drawn together for a mutual love of all things nerdy.

The club was started originally by Stephanie Payne (that’s her real name), who often partners with local comic book stores like Maximum Comics, Cosmic Comics and Ralph of Alternate Reality Comics. Ohhhh yeaaaah!!! (Macho Man voice)

Long Beach Comic Con was once again booming with attendees, artists and vendors.

I spent most of my time at the artists alley and got autographs from living legend Wolverine creator, Len Wein and DC star Dustin Nguyen.  Talked to several independent creators from comics to movies.  I love how these guys are so determined and motivated.

Just like previous Long Beach Comic Cons, the artist were really friendly.  Punisher cover artist, Tim Bradstreet was helping aspiring artists.  He was giving pointers and surprisingly honest.  Can’t beat receiving constructive criticism from one of the best artists …

Due to the rain damage and recent flooding that destroyed the facilities at the Alexis Park Resort, Anime Vegas will be held at Cashman Field. It’s days away before fellow nerds gather in San Diego for Comic-Con.  The event has gotten so big that geeks hang out with their own clique, whether it’s Star Wars, Star Trek, Batman or just the hardcore comic book lovers.  One thing is for certain though, all of us will look down at the Twilight fans lining up a couple of days just to see a glimpse of Edward and Jacob.  Come on, what are these guys thinking?  If it was for a classic franchise like Resident Evil, I’d understand!
