The new chief creative officer (COO) of DC, Geoff Johns, discussed the future of the company at WonderCon. Johns was enthusiastic as ever and talked about plenty of subjects, from comics to movies and personal career.
Below are the highlights:
– DC is thinking about a Justice League movie but can’t talk about it until Comic Con.
– Green Lantern movie is in 3rd week of principal photography. Totally pleased with the progress
– Batman will have more role in Brightest Day compared to Blackest Night. Good friend with Grant Morrison and discusses Batman’s character with him all the time.…
For those of you going to WonderCon in San Francisco this weekend, be sure to check out exclusive screenings for Fringe, Human Target, and V this Friday in the Esplanade Ballroom.
Fans of Fringe can check out the new episode before everyone else called “Olivia. In The Lab. With The Revolver,” which will air on FOX, April 8, 2010.
And if you’re hankering for some smart action, check out Human Target’s season finale episode, “Christopher Chance,” before everyone else, airing on FOX, April 14, 2010. The series includes my favorite Watchmen hero, Jackie Earle Haley.

Nintendo has shocked a lot of people by suddenly announcing what will be the successor to the DS (meaning it’s a “DS2”, and not just another version of the DS).
What I’ve found out so far is that it will have:
3D effects without the need for 3D glasses
backwards compatibility with DS games
motion controls (in addition to regular controls)
and that it will come out sometime during Nintendo’s next financial year (April 2010-March 2011), but my guess is that the release date for North America will be around November, just in time for the Christmas craze.

For Reservoired Dog, watching Prince Of Persia two months early at Showest 2010 wasn’t enough. He trekked the convention floors discovering the latest and greatest technology theater gadgets. Along the way, he mingled with celebs such as The Rock, Jeniffer Lopez, Katherine Heigl and Neil Patrick Harris. E3, the Electronic Entertainment Exposition, is the most amazing place a gamer could be. In recent news, the Anaheim Convention Center was trying to entice Comic-Con International into relocating their hugely popular event from the San Diego Convention Center. If this deal does go through, that would mean that Anaheim would now be hosting the event starting 2013. Comic-Con International has been in San Diego for 40 years. It’s like a getaway that’s still close to home for southern Californians. Here I have compiled a list of pros and cons for Comic-Con moving to Anaheim.
Pros
To all the uninformed geeks and nerds out there (me included), if you haven’t registered online yet to obtain the San Diego Comic-Con 2010 4-day pass, Saturday or Friday pass, you are screwed. The four-day passes were sold out in November of 2009.
“Comic-Con 2010 has already seen unprecedented interest. Four-day memberships sold out in November — months before last year’s record-breaking March sellout — in part because we limited attendance to Preview Night.”
The good news? You can still get Thursday and Sunday passes as of today, Jan 27, 2010. God I hate scalpers!
