Here I am at Comic-Con with Hailey (Paramore)

I recently attended Comic-Con and let me say it was a blast, well that’s because I was busy flirting with the babes (shhh, don’t tell the girlfriend). Throughout the event, we did video interviews and got a chance to attend the Kamen Rider panel.

“Wait a minute, You went to Comic-Con and only went to the Kamen Rider panel? Is that it?”

Yeah, we didn’t feel like waiting in line for the other panels (as awesome as they may be) and instead used that time to take loads of pictures of cosplayers, babes, …

DVD Review: The Spectacular Spider-man: The Complete First Season

DVD Review: The Spectacular Spider-man: The Complete First Season

Spiderman DVD Review: The Spectacular Spider man: The Complete First Season
The Spectacular Spider-Man is an entertaining and light watch for kids and teenagers, but Spidey fans in general will enjoy the series, which currently airs on TheCW4Kids Network. The plots are simple but they never insult the intelligence of the audience and the episodes are mostly self-contained and full of classic Spidey villains. We’re a long way from the dark, brooding angst of Batman and even other incarnations of Spidey. The animation is bright and colorful and the art is stylized and clearly drawn.

The Spectacular Spider-man starts with a catchy opening theme and takes us back really early into the …

Vintage Toy(s) Of The Week: G.I. Joe!

Vintage Toy(s) Of The Week: G.I. Joe!

GI 1 1024x768 Vintage Toy(s) Of The Week: G.I. Joe!

In 1982 the 3 ¾ inch G.I. Joe figures came out to straight arms that could bend but not rotate and very basic molds. These vintage selections are the remains of my collection. Starting with a 1984 “Hooded” Cobra Commander, this was a mail-away item. The Commander had come with a small gun which snapped into his back—this is long gone… Reviewing these Joes brings back a lot of memories and even sadness. The sadness is caused by remembering what I had. I actually had the Terrordrome! Now how does something that big disappear!?

I had a few “Stuns” …

Vintage Toy Of The Week: Masters Of The Universe!

Vintage Toy Of The Week: Masters Of The Universe!

In 1981 Masters of the Universe came out in the form of action figures with limited articulation and a mini comic book.  Also included were their trademark weapons and armorMattel had used the same molds for just about every figure with differences such as the head and color of the body and outfit.  The armor was different for just about all of the figures and in some instances the hands and feet.

The legs were attached with a thick rubberband, and the arms were static with just the ability to rotate 360 degrees.  The head of most figures …

Watchmen: Director’s Cut Coming to Theaters

Watchmen: Director’s Cut Coming to Theaters

watchmen002 300x187 Watchmen: Director’s Cut Coming to Theaters

Sweet, an uncut version of an already long Watchmen is coming to select theatres the weekend before Comic-Con in Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, and Minneapolis.

This is some great news for for fans who lives near these cities. Luckily I enjoyed the movie, so I’m curious to see the director’s cut. Hopefully it doesn’t drag too long like the theatrical cut. Wait a sec, if the director’s cut is also coming out in theatres, it’s also considered a theatrical cut (I just gone cross-eyed).

Preview Of Wizard World Philly

Preview Of Wizard World Philly

It’s that time of year again, on June 19th to the 21st the East-Coast will have the opportunity to experience Wizard World in Philadelphia PA.

Being from Philly, I can talk about the first-hand experience of going. You could either drive through lousy Philly traffic then pay an arm and a leg for parking and risk your wheels and sanity, OR you could take the Elevated Train and give Septa (the Transit authority) a couple of bucks to listen to some crazy preaching to you for a half hour. Fun huh?!

So after getting there, you have to survive a …

Action Figure Review: ShadowHawk

Action Figure Review: ShadowHawk

 Action Figure Review: ShadowHawk
Shocker Toys
is the latest company to enter the action figure industry.  The company is focusing on making comic book figures from independent titles such as Maxx and Kabuki.  In the back of the package, it states that the company works closely with the comic book creators to create a figure that truly represent the characters.  I got Shadowhawk and below is the review.

Packaging:

Package is compact and small for the 6 inch figure.  So if you’re a MOC collector, you’ll be happy to save space with this figure.  I also like how you can just slide the …

 BotCon 09 Recap

Another weekend, another convention.  This time it was for BotCon 09, the official Transformers convention held in Pasadena, CA.  This was my first BotCon experience and I really enjoyed it.

 BotCon 09 Recap

Saturday:

We arrived at the Pasadena Convention Center around 1:30 and grabbed a quick bite at Rubio’s Mexican Grill across the street (the taco burger was great). As we were heading back to the convention, we noticed several Transformer’s standees in the shopping center. We took a picture with the standees and a Hasbro employee gave us a Decepticon promo piece that we can …

Megan Fox Takes Down Wonder Woman

Megan Fox Takes Down Wonder Woman

transformers 03 300x199 Megan Fox Takes Down Wonder Woman

This just in from the  Times Online, Megan Fox thinks Wonder Woman is lame.

“Wonder Woman is a lame superhero,” says Megan Fox to the Sun Times. “She flies around in her invisible jet and her weaponry is a lasso that makes you tell the truth. I just don’t get it. Somebody has a big challenge on their hands whoever takes that role but I don’t want to do it.”

Megan Fox is a lame actress. She talks crap about Scarlet Johanson for being smart and pretty, and Zack Efron and Robert Pattinson for being inexperienced. I just don’t get …
