To all the uninformed geeks and nerds out there (me included), if you haven’t registered online yet to obtain the San Diego Comic-Con 2010 4-day pass, Saturday or Friday pass, you are screwed. The four-day passes were sold out in November of 2009.

“Comic-Con 2010 has already seen unprecedented interest. Four-day memberships sold out in November — months before last year’s record-breaking March sellout — in part because we limited attendance to Preview Night.”

The good news? You can still get Thursday and Sunday passes as of today, Jan 27, 2010. God I hate scalpers!

This statue will come out in November for a price of $80.  The design is based from the hit Batman game, Arkham Asylum.  While it looks good and it even has the trademark big ass batarang, $80 is a bit much for 7 inch statue .…

Here’s the red band trailer dedicated to Hit-Girl for the movie Kick-Ass. You see some father/daughter time with Nicholas Cage as Big Daddy and the sweet Chloe Moretz as Hit-Girl. Some may be offended by a little girl saying the “c” word while slicing and dicing baddies, but I for one think it’s cool to see her stand up for herself and beat up guys twice her size. Big Daddy has taught her well.

DC will once again release “origins” of Batman and Superman with “Earth One”.  The books will be released in graphic novel formats instead of the traditional monthly issues.  What sets this apart from other origins?  Well, they’ll supposedly start their crime fighting career in this era with the technology and culture we have right now.  Geoff Johns of Green Lantern fame will write Batman, while Michael Straczynski will script Superman.  Check out the images below, click on the picture for higher res:

Oh yeah! The newest movie adapted by comic book writer Mark Millar’s work, Kick-Ass is a story about a regular kid, Dave Lizewski (Johnson), who dreams of becoming a superhero and actually tries to pull it off. He doesn’t have powers or anything, but he will kick your ass!
