K-ON!!!!! “Beautiful World” Part 12.

Featuring the six Manga books; top row: Yui, Mio, Ritsu, bottom row: Tsumugi, the girls in college and Jun, Azusa and Ui as Seniors in high school. Very fitting for the next to last chapter.

Last time on K-ON!!!!! “Beautiful World” Miho and her Light Music club’s band ‘Vintage 5’ performed at their school culture festival revealing a surprise to Nao that Miho was able to learn English. Sumire had a surprise of her own, telling the girls that their high school dream of playing live at the Budokan would now be a reality. Now, as old friends gather for the

Another group shot of the original girls from the Manga—it looks official to me, so I’m sticking with that! Back row: Mio and Tsumugi, Front row: Ritsu, Azusa and Yui. Why such a basic cover piece? Well, this chapter can only have a picture if someone draws it for me, so no hope there…But, this is a written piece, so enjoy!

Last time on K-ON!!!!! “Beautiful World” the girls discover what their new found fame meant to them and became charitable in many ways. Now the spotlight is on Miho as she and her friends in the Kaganui Family Girls School;

hawkeye david aja stimulated boredom Comic Book Review: Hawkeye Vol 1 My Life as a Weapon

Have you ever found yourself reading a comic book and coming to the realization it’s scratching an itch you never consciously known was there but deep down you’ve been waiting for it to be done? That is precisely what Hawkeye by Matt Fraction and David Aja does by giving us a glimpse into the “ordinary” day to day life of Clint Barton AKA Hawkeye as he interacts with the people living in his apartment building, facing some annoying life problems we all have at one point or another with the occasional super heroics thrown in for good measure.

One thing I …

K-ON!!!!! “Beautiful World” Part 10.

A bit of mishmash, this is an SG—made by Epiphone and not Gibson, it is created in almost the same way as Nao’s vintage guitar. The sweat towels feature Ritsu (rear) and Yui (center)…if you look close enough, you’ll see the Mio and Yui Figma on top of the Ritsu towel. Also, is ‘HEART STATION’, probably the best Hikaru Utada album out there. Think of this as a tribute to Nao that includes others from the band.

Last time on K-ON!!!!! “Beautiful World’ the girls of ‘Hokago Tea Time’ took second place in a competition featuring the big names in music,

From left to right: Haruka Tomatsu, Minako Kotobuki, Ayahi Takagaki and Aki Toyosaki.

Sphere, the Japanese Idol group that features Aki Toyosaki who voices Yui and Minako Kotobuki who voices Tsumugi in K-ON! Joining them are Haruka Tomatsu—Plays Ai Hidaka on The Idolmaster and Ayahi Takagaki.—plays Chris Yukine on Symphogear. Voice actors, Idols, and very popular in Japan; I have to admit that they sound good. My personal preference are bands who write their own songs, play their own instruments and such, but sometimes there is quite a lot of enjoyment in watching singers; I’d say check them out, Amazon is

K-ON!!!!! “Beautiful World” Part 8.

Cut and paste—Photo Shop style! This is what Miho would look like. I used the girl as the base—I can’t find a signature or where I got the picture to give credit to the great artist, but if you are out there, awesome art! I added other pieces to her and re-colored her outfit to match. The guitar is a Takamine Jasmine, I went over it with the paint bucket tool and it turned out cartoon style with wear on the body, it was just luck. I tried to size everything as correctly as possible—after all, Miho is only 5’2”, so

Honest Trailer – Man of Steel

Honest Trailer – Man of Steel

supeshonest Honest Trailer Man of Steel

No doubt in honor of the Man of Steel DVD release, the guys from Screen Junkies who put out the Honest Trailers, spoofed the latest Superman movie with their usual biting wit and highly critical and discerning eye.  What I love about the Honest Trailers is that, yeah, okay they rip some of these films to shreds but they do it in a fun way, and make a lot of great points in the process.  Without further ado, here’s the Honest Trailer for Man of Steel.

K-ON!!!!! “Beautiful World” Part 7.

The rainy season in Japan—mixed with the dim-witted Yui and her sister Ui makes for a good laugh! In this screen capture from the Anime, Yui and Ui are walking to school and its pouring! Yui is trying to protect her guitar, Gita from the downpour but it’s a losing battle for her as she gets soaked by the falling rain, kids running by, a car splashing through a puddle and a dog shaking off on her. Finally, Yui ends up falling down finishing her off. Yui and Ui should follow suit and copy the woman who is walking the dog…but,

Thor The Dark World 7 704x1024 Movie Review: Thor The Dark World

The original Thor was a film with great action, fantastic performances from most of the cast and the potential to be something truly special but squandered it fairly quickly in order to devolve into a romantic comedy with one of the most rushed and unbelievable romances and character arcs I’ve seen yet. Thankfully its sequel, Thor The Dark World, manages to capitalize on the originals potential but still suffers from some of the usual Marvel Studios weaknesses.

The film takes place about a year after the Avengers, Loki is in prison, Thor and the Warriors Three battle across the Nine Realms
