Green Lantern Costume Revealed

Green Lantern Costume Revealed

Entertainment Weekly has just provided comic book fans with the movie costume for Green Lantern.  Ryan Reynolds wearing the costume looks cheesy. But then again, Batman’s costume in Dark Knight also looked like crap with the still photos and it looked good on screen.  Green Lantern’s mask looks like an afterthought and tacked on.  It’ll be hard to pull off Green Lantern’s suite without looking tacky.  Best of luck to Ryan Reynolds!

Chud.com has reported they know the introduction to Transformers 3.  It contains spoilers so read at your own risk.

**Start Of  Spoiler**

There’s a disturbance on the Moon. A robot shaped disturbance. Scientists on Earth see this and the information gets passed up the chain of command. In the White House, men in black suits are breathlessly running through the halls, and they burst into the Oval Office. The president is behind the desk, back turned to the door, looking out the window. One of the men tells the president, ‘Sir, something’s happened on the Moon!’ The president turns around.

It’s …

Batman: Arkham Asylum Series 2 Figures

Batman: Arkham Asylum Series 2 Figures

Arkham Asylum had a really cool take on the Batman universe when it came out last year with the gritty and maniacal art direction.  I never expected it would spawn a toy line but I guess everyone loved the game and became an instant hit.  Below are the pics of series 2 figures, let’s take a look at the line up:

Armored Batman – Looks decent. It has enough distinction to tell its from the game such as the long horns and shiny suit.

DCD211BMAA Zasz Batman: Arkham Asylum Series 2 Figures
Zsasz – He wasn’t much of a challenge in the game but I”m glad they’re finally making …

Rumor: Jonathan Nolan to Direct Superman?

Rumor: Jonathan Nolan to Direct Superman?

superman flying Rumor: Jonathan Nolan to Direct Superman?

The new Superman has a great team behind the project so far. Batman Director Christopher Nolan is producing the film, along with his brother Jonathan. Writing the story, as well as the script, is David Goyer, who was at one point, rumored to direct the film. Goyer is a great writer, but I’m glad he’s not directing Superman, remember Blade: Trinity?

Anyhow, latest reports from GeekTyrant indicates that Jonathan Nolan might fill the job as the director. What has he done before? Nothing as a director, but he was one of the writers for Dark Knight.…

Kick-Ass 2 Will Focus On Villain Red Mist

Kick-Ass 2 Will Focus On Villain Red Mist

Kick Ass 1 Kick Ass 2 Will Focus On Villain Red Mist

In a recent interview with Totalfilm.com, Kick-Ass creator, Mark Millar talked about his plan for the franchise.

“I always had this planned as three volumes, and each is a sequel.  It’s not like a regular comic where it’s issue nine, 10 and 11. It’s Kick-Ass 2, Issue 1 sort of thing. It’s just starting where we left off last time.”

I never knew Millar planned to have a trilogy for Kick-Ass.  I thought it was going to be like his other work, Wanted, just a one shot mini series.

“Through success [he’s] inspired other people, and what the …

Kick-Ass And Hit Girl Comic Con Exclusive

Kick-Ass And Hit Girl Comic Con Exclusive

Mezco is offering another set of Mez-Itz’s at Comic Con.  This time, it’s for my favorite movie of the year so far, Kick-Ass.  The bundle comes with Kick-Ass and Hit Girl and mini version in keychains.  This one is cheaper than the $40 Batman & Joker bundle that Mezco is also offering.  The set can be purchased for $35.

I really dig the Kick-Ass figure.  It captures his nerdiness and blood all over his face makes it funny.  Hit Girl looks like a turtle so I’m digging it too much.  I hope they’ll release Big Daddy soon…..KRYPTOOOOOOOOONIIIITE!…

Wonder Woman Movie Sketch?

Wonder Woman Movie Sketch?

The sketches were supposedly made by Hollywood costumer designer, Shawna Trpcic as Joss Whedon was working on the now defunct Wonder Woman movie, bleedingcool.com reports.  The sketch on the right from the first picture looks the best but I don’t know if that will translate well in a movie.  Her costume is too colorful and the stars all over her makes it look cheesy.  Whatever DC does with the movie, I hope they won’t go with the new outfit.  YUCK!

Los Angeles Anime Expo 2010 Experience

Los Angeles Anime Expo 2010 Experience

I’ve been to Anime Expo, the past couple of years but I still don’t know much about the anime community.  I mainly go for the impressive costumes and the cool people.  While I still wanted to hang out with the cosplayers and take pics this year, I wanted to learn more about the Anime Culture.

So on Saturday, July 3rd, I started asking attendees about their experiences.  I also talked to voice actor Kyle Hebert and several people from Artist Alley.  Although I’m still far from being an Anime expert, I was glad I talked to a wide range of attendees.  …

SDCC Exclusive: Batman And Joker Mez-Itz

SDCC Exclusive: Batman And Joker Mez-Itz

Never heard of Mez-Itz?  Well think of  Hasbro’s Mighty Muggs but created by Mezco.  Mez-Itz looks identical except there figures has a neck.  The Batman and Joker set will cost you $40.  I guess the prices for these are also higher compared to the Mighty Muggs because those retailed from $10 -$13.

Batman looks good and Mezco put a nice touch by including a batarang.   I wish Joker came with a tommy gun but DC probably didn’t allow it.

You can pre order these bad boys here.
