We showed you guys the news clip of Phoenix Jones last week braving the streets of Washington to fight crime. When I saw the clip, I doubted the authenticity of it but I saw my local news reporting on the real life superheroes as well, so it had to be real. AOL has reported that Jones got an assailant in a headlock as he called 911 to report the crime. But then, the assailant has several cronies with him and one was carrying a gun. Sony just released the first picture of Andrew Garfield in the Spider-Man costume. The picture is getting mixed reactions from messageboards. Personally, I like the design. While Tobey Maguire’s costume looked good in the Spider-Man trilogy, if there was one thing to complain about, it would be his physique. He was too stocky to be Spider-Man. In the comics, Peter Parker is really skinny but fit. Andrew Garfield captures the skinny look really well. The Spider-Man reboot also stars Gwen Stacy and scheduled for released on July 3, 2012.

Who’s the big guy behind Mr. Freeze? Is it Bane?
Imagine what it would’ve been like if all the Batman characters were meshed into one high school. It would’ve been called Gotham High, and WB was contemplating on making the concept into a TV show. Too bad it was never developed, all we have now are some cool concept art.
It would’ve been interesting to see how certain characters were before they became as we know them now. Was the Joker always crazy, or just a cool kid trying to be different?

I thought the comic book was coming out to coincide with Green Hornet’s movie release this weekend but I was wrong. The comic was written by Kevin Smith and released in March 2010. The reviews said it’s worth reading because it gets into the history of the hero.

Arkham City’s official FB fanpage has just released several concept art for the sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum. Arkham City will be the biggest Batman game to date. The original setting was in a prison. The sequel will expand and players will be able to control Batman throughout Gotham City. Based on the previews, the main villain will be Hugo Strange, to possibly coincide with the villain from the third Batman movie.

Our friends at Mimobot just announced their latest line at CES, DC Comics. The first wave will consist of Batman characters including Blue and Black versions of Batman, Joker, Robin and Catwoman.
The limited black costume Batman (5000 pieces) is now available for purchase on the site but the rest of the characters haven’t been added yet.
Mimobots are USB flash drives that have really cool designs and includes themes and wallpapers. The Lines range from Star Wars to Halo and now DC!
