It looks like the TV show might become a reality now that NBC has given David E. Kelley (Harry’s Law) the go-ahead to shoot the pilot.  According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kelley says he has a “smart script” and that the character will be “a real complex woman and not just a superhero.”  I remember the original Wonder Woman TV show.  Linda Carter rocked the costume.

Nothing yet about who will play the patriotic albeit scantily clad superheress or whether she’ll be wearing the new costume from the comics.  Will it be someone well-known or a new discovery?  …

The big news of the day is the confirmation of the two baddies for Chris Nolan’s third (and final) Batman movie. Rising star and scene-stealer Tom Hardy of Inception fame will be taking on the character of Bane. A complex, dangerous character in the comics (who broke Brue Wayne’s back during the classic Knightfall story arc) will hopefully get the class treatment he deserves after an embarassing turn as a mute freak in the campy and awful Batman and Robin. Todd McFarlane was signing at Golden Apple Comics last Wednesday to celebrate the 200th issue of his comic, Spawn.  McFarlane was suppose to sign from 6 – 8 p.m. but the line was so long that he stayed until 11:30 so all the fans came out with his autograph.  To the surprise of the fans, the rest of the Image founders also showed up for the signing.  Even Jim Lee showed up, along with Rob Liefeld and Marc Silvestri.

Spawn #200 sold out in 1 day and a second print will be available on Feb 9th, 2010.
