According to several sources, DC may be planning for the release of #0 issues of their New 52 titles this September. The source indicated that the issues will go from #12 and then skip to #0 before moving on to #13 in October. Apparently, these #0 issues will delve into the stories of the characters before the release of their #1’s.

Who would’ve thought that television could actually get people to read?  It’s always been known as having the opposite effect. Bookscan’s list tells another tale as titles like The Walking Dead and A Game of Thrones dominate. While these publications do have other literary tie-ins, the influence of their TV adaptations on sales is undeniable. The Benderspink production company along with Roddenberry Entertainment are coming together to adapt the highly acclaimed sci-fi graphic novel Days Missing for film and television.  You might recognize the name Roddenberry as the man behind Star Trek. Trevor Roth, the creator of Days Missing, is also the head of development at Roddenberry Entertainment. JC Spink, co-founder of Benderspink, says that Days Missing has the potential for a three-feature trilogy to be produced simultaneously with the TV show.

Let me just start out by saying that I really liked the first Gantz film.  I know that a lot of fans of the Manga did not like it and that’s to be expected with film adaptations. Rarely does one live up to its literary predecessor.  Being also  a fan of Kenichi Matsuyama (“L” of Death Note), I thought he did a decent job in the first Gantz and was looking forward to seeing what Kurono was going to do with his 100 pts. in the sequel.
