The Avengers isn’t the best superhero movie of all time (as many are saying), but it is a whole lot of fun. Well-cast, paced, and executed, it’s a crowd-pleaser with a ton of great moments, and some surprisingly funny ones as well. Joss Whedon does an admirable job of making this huge blockbuster a film that works on all levels. It’s far from perfect though. Overlong and a tedious first 30-40 minutes make seal its fate when comparing it to Nolan’s Batman films and Spider-man 2. I also preferred X-Men: First Class to The Avengers. With all the challenges that Batman has to deal with, this was bound to happen!…

Despite earlier reports of no Hulk movie in the future, Marvel has quickly changed their minds due to the financial and critical success of The Avengers.

The movie audience gave positive response of Mark Ruffalo’s performance as Bruce Banner/Hulk.

**SPOILERS FOR THE AVENGERS:**The ending to The Avengers splits up the characters o that they can star in their own movies without any cross overs.**End Spoilers

Kevin Conroy, the well known voice actor who played Batman in the animated series/movies and video game interpretations recently announced that a Flashpoint animated film is being produced.

For those of you who dont know, Flashpoint was a 2011 DC Comics mini series and crossover event.  Written by Geoff Johns and drawn by Andy Kubert, the series showed Flash (Barry Allen), altering the entire DC universe by tampering with the past.  This radically changed the DC universe and all of the characters. One of the more notable examples of this change was the new Batman.

On Wednesday, April 25th, Dark Horse Comics will be releasing the first installment of their 4 part series covering the death of one of Star Wars’ most iconic characters: the bounty hunter known as Boba Fett.  This will be the sequel to the Star Wars: Blood Ties mini-series which explored the relationship between Boba and his “father” Jango. The X-Men are a hugely popular comic book and franchise from Marvel that has been around for eons. Last seen on the big screen in the impressive X-Men: First Class, they return in this 2 DVD set of the complete series of the anime. The series contains all 12 episodes and a few special features. The animation from the legendary MADHOUSE is first-rate, and while the story is un-even, there’s enough going on to give it a positive review.
