Murder Inc. A Short Film.

Control, it can be an emotional and mental level of assuredness and confidence.  All sorts of things control us, misconceptions as insidious as they are, can control a lifetime.  I know what you might be thinking, a control session is about to spill all over your monitor and seethe into your brains and for just a few minutes, you may become a puppet in this cyber playhouse.  I have to deny the urge to stop you and say I can only imagine the wheeling and dealings I would place into effect if I did have such Control.  But I digress.  I …

Get Out! A Short Animated French Film

Get Out! A Short Animated French Film

Acceptance.  Truths’ ugly cousin.  The world around us becomes this flower embedded leisure and comfort.  The true beauty of ignorance hovers over us like a summer sky, making one believe the squishy clear padded world we live in.  However at times we catch a glance out of that bubbly globe and hear the muffled sound of the voice of reason, that almost yells the sanity back into us, Get Out!  You cannot continue to live this fantasy any longer.  You must accept the truth.  You must rip of the bandage off the extremely contagious case of the Me! Me! Me’s!  …

Alma ~ a short animated film

Alma ~ a short animated film

Images of ourselves can often be a misconception.  Single handedly, we pave a clear path to where we think we want to go and then… bam!, steamrolled by a simple distraction.  If only we paid closer attention, we might avoid entrapment by what seems to be an attractive desire.  But as many have crashed and burned before, we want what we want.  However be careful what you wish for, as in this short film, Alma by Rodrigo Blass, we may think that the most attractive desire is in fact, ourselves.  Be free, I say, like flying birds.    After all, flying birds, …

Leo original 668x1024 Artist Profile: Erik Phour Nyne Guy Arreaga

I saw Erik Arreaga’s artwork at Las Vegas Comic Con.  The first thing I noticed were his awesome TMNT prints.  His style was different that most art out there.  It was gritty, dynamic and badass. He also had several Spawn and Batman artwork.

In this profile, Arreaga discussed his motivation for his work, the hardship of being an artist and Megan Fox.

Nerd Society (NS):  Who’s your influence for your artwork?

Erik Arreaga (EA): It’s funny when I get asked this question. I literally could write a book on it.  I love artist for so many different reasons, and with those …

30395 00 Header Artist Profile: DC Bombshells Designer Ant Lucia
As you guys already know, my favorite art style is 50’s propaganda.  I love the bold slogans and the minimalist artwork.

I’ve already seen Ant Lucia’s work on the web before and I loved his Star Wars pieces.  After I found out he was designing DC’s Bombshells statue, I had to talk to him about his work!

NerdSociety (NS): How did you end up working with DC Direct for the Bombshells line?
Ant Lucia (AL): I met the DC Collectibles team at C2E2 in Chicago back in 2011. They discovered my Artist Alley table and mentioned a project they might want …

bane Cool Art: Super Emo Friends Chat With J Salvador

I was passing by J Salvador’s booth at WonderCon and heard several laughs and “awww’s” from attendees.  I looked at more closely why his Super Emo Friends booth was getting a reaction and I got it right away.  Salvador’s artwork was great and the concept behind it was funny and cute.  I talked to Brian at the booth.  I thought he was the creator (he’s also an artist) but he said he was helping out his friend, J Salvador.  It turned out the pieces were selling so well that Salvador had to make a quick run to a store to get …
