The anime series called Genshiken is one of the best comedy animes around. It has a gentle pace and pokes fun at the otaku (hard-core anime fans) in a mocking, but ultimately lovable way. The show has charm and wit and moves along at its own pace. It has the feel of real life instead of the more over-caffeinated anime comedies around such as Excel Saga or FLCL, but that suits this wonderful series just fine. The complete title Genshiken: The Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture refers to the anime club that the the main characters belong …

An emo kid named Shinji and his two hot sexy female copilots fend off Angels (invaders) in the 1994 released anime, Evangelion. What Eva offered was a new perspective on the surreal conflux of metaphors, symbols, and subtext, unlike most Japanimation of its time.
“Good anime”
“Ending sucked”.
In the end most of the fans loved it but some were torn over the way its final episodes were handled, yatayataya!
WHAT you may not know
More then a decade later, Gainax(The same company that graced us with Evangelion) brings us another fantastic anime in the big robot genre. …
Well…
Just got back from Anime Expo 2008 a few days back and here goes my 1st impressions: DEAD!! WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO EVERYONE! a swap meet in an Amish village had more interesting people in cooler outfits then Anime expo! Wellllll it wasn’t that bad at all. It was no Long beach or Anaheim, but my co host and I had an excellent time interviewing people . With the help from all of you NON ^___^ Nerds, hopefully we’ll be helping nerds at home become more socially accepted and not just in nerdsociety(pun intended).
Aside from that, I think …
Pics from days 3 and 4 are below. I had a blast at AX, can’t wait for next year. And that damn Ninja finally got me on Sunday. DAMN YOU NINJA! Videos of our monsters causing havoc at AX will be up soon.
It’s always a blast at Anime Expo. This year I thought Anime Expo being in
Los Angeles was a bad idea, but as the days pass by, it wasn’t so bad. Things of note: two of my buddies got shafted for inappropriate cosplaying outfits, ninjas striking mercilessly, glomps out of nowhere, crossplayers and Bleach and Naruto is everywhere.
I was sad to see there were no Spartans this year. I might have to get back in shape and don my Spartan outfit once again. One of my buddies was dressed up as Naked Cowboy, wearing white underwear, cowboy hat and sporting …
Even though it was really hot, day 2 was fun. 2 of our writers dressed up as…purple Octopus’s, yeah that’s it. One of the writer’s girlfriend dressed up as a Lolita. Talked to cos-players and just had fun messing around. The video footage should be up soon. For now, enjoy the pics (you can just hit your left and right arrow keys to navigate through the pictures).
Batman: Gotham Knight is a collection of six short animated films from some celebrated anime studios and terrific comic book writers. It’s similar to The Animatrix DVD that came out years back and features six short films. The shorts are uneven at times and not every short is an instant classic, but I liked a great deal of it. The version for review is the 2 Disc Special edition, which is the only choice for fans of Batman, as the one disc edition has only a commentary and sneak peak of the new Wonder Woman origin animated film (which looks excellent, …
We arrived around 8pm because of work. By the time we got there, the place was already pretty empty. Still saw some cool costumes. Funniest part was John dancing with the guy carrying the boombox. The boombox guy was shocked and didn’t know what to do. Good times. We’ll be updating the site throughout the weekend to bring you pictures and reports from AX.

Well here I am at work, counting down the time on my computer’s taskbar. It’s taking FOREVER!!! Got really wasted on my birthday last night. Now I must conserve energy to attend Anime Expo in the Los Angeles Convention Center. The thing to look forward to AX is the cute sexy cosplayer outfits. It’s going to be the first time it’s held at the LA Convention Center. Attendance is always growing by the thousands. We’ll see how it does this time in the city of angels.…
