As previously reported on NerdSociety, the CW is working on a show called Arrow which centers around the DC comic character Green Arrow. The actor cast in the lead role isn’t exactly a household name at this juncture, but Stephen Amell has appeared on Vampire Diaries, 90210, Private Practice and Hung. He was also in the running to replace Andy Whitfield on Spartacus.
There really isn’t much more to say about him other than when he isn’t wearing the scruffy 2 day growth, he’s a bit of a pretty boy. He does sport a 12 pack, which is sure to please the ladies, and a couple of his shirtless scenes are considered by many to be some of the best of 2011. He’s also from Canada. (Not sure why but a lot of really popular actors are from there). Here he is talking about getting naked on his second day of playing the male prostitute Jason on Hung; oh and he’s a fan of Game of Thrones which is definitely a plus:
