Yep, he’s back. Word was going around last week that Matthew Vaughn was stepping down as director and that this might happen but now it’s been confirmed: Bryan Singer is back. You might remember that he directed the first two X-Men films which were considered by many to be pretty successful (although I still think Storm was more of a Light Rain but that’s for another article).
So the next X-Men will be a sequel to First Class called Days of Future Past. In it, there will be some time jumping apparently as our heroes will be trying to prevent something grave from happening in the future. Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Jennifer Lawrence are also set to return in their respective roles as Magneto, Professor X and Mystique. The release date will be July of 2014.
