I’m not a huge fan of Snake Eyes like everyone else. In the original show he was hardly in it after the 82-85 specials where he didn’t have a beef with Storm Shadow at all. He was interesting if you attached him to the original toy line and not the comic and cartoon because he was one of the first figures made. He was almost called “Spook” originally; as in ghost. I will admit that I currently own 4 versions of the Movie figures–just to sell in 20 years mint on card and in perfect condition. But, I like this one.
“City Strike” is another name for “from G.I. Joe Resolute.” The figure just as well has the same look as in the anime style cartoon special. The only difference really, is that he comes with a bunch of accessories such as climbing equipment and a large back pack. The sword is there and it’s nice–detailed in silver for the blade and black for the handle. The blade–when in the scabbard can be seen from the side which is an interesting touch. However, I think it takes away some stability from the accessory. He has 3 guns, two machine guns and a pistol, there is a knife, pouch and foot spikes for climbing and two grappling hooks. Finally there is a figure stand for display.
The package art is nice–as it is with just about all of the figures. New for the current wave of figures is the “band” at the bottom of the package with the characters name; this is in a different color than the first few waves of figures. It seems that this is because there is a “special mission” theme and this figure is “The City.”
Great piece for my collection, I replaced “Snake Eyes With Timber (Gray) Paris Pursuit” for this one and moved it to the center which is where I feature some of the more interesting figures.
Good job Snake Eyes, you moved up from just another character to being one of the cool ones! (For me.)

I am also on the fence about Snake Eyes, he’s overrated in the same way I think Bobba Fett is overrated by the Star Wars kids….but I do like the toy. Keep the bitch’in toys coming !

Just found this today for $5 at Wal Mart. My first GI Joe toy purchase since Sigma Six. It’s definitely a great deal because it comes with a crapload of accessories and weapons. Now, I want to buy the other figs, especially Storm Shadow.

Hey Cricket, are you going to open the figure?
I’m surprised you found it in a store, it’s going for way too much in the specialty shops–RARE AND HOT!!! …and $25.00.
I paid retail so I’m not complaining at all.
You have 5 or 6 Storm Shadows to choose from, the “original” is pretty cool because he has the launcher and nano-mite warhead that in the movie he fires at the Eiffel Tower.

Yeah, I already opened it last night. It’s displayed with my Revoltech Transformers. Awesome figure!
