In May of 2011, Mark Williams was arrested in full Batman gear while climbing up the side of a building carrying a number of Batman-esque tools and weapons. Over this past weekend, Williams was up to his old tricks as Michigan police arrested him again for obstructing a police investigation.
According to reports, Williams showed up at the scene of an automobile accident in his Batman costume. The police were trying to investigate a hit and run and had a k-9 at the scene trying to pick up a scent. When asked about the caped obstructor, State Police Sgt. Jeff Gorno (aka Commisioner Gordon) said: “He wouldn’t clear the scene, and we had a canine out there and he kept screwing up the scent. He said he wanted to help us look for the driver. We didn’t want the dog to track Batman instead of the accident scene, and he was getting in the way of officers who had a job to do.”
Williams was arrested and his costume confiscated. But fear not, boys and girls, Batman’s got a sidekick who patrols the streets with him as a “crime preventer.” She has sworn to help the Petrosky Batman beat the rap. This is from the Petrosky Batgirl’s Facebook page:
This will be his second charge of resisting and obstructing police as Batman, which is too bad because he probably would’ve been able to help them catch the driver. Batman is after all the world’s greatest detective.
