Rants and raves from UFC 100……

– Yoshihiro “Sexyama” Akiyama still went out to the Boccelli song, “Say Goodbye”.  Awesome!  I’m glad Dana White agreed to the music and didn’t let him change it to a mainstream song.  Here’s a clip of his entrance in Japan with the music, EPIC!

– Even though Sexyama got the win, he didn’t look too impressive.  Maybe he needs to drop down to 170, he looked really small at 185.  His opponent, Belcher was stupid for not throwing more leg kicks in the third round.

– Dan “Hollywood” Henderson literally shut Michael “The Count” Bisping up with a wild right hook in the second round.  Henderson made sure Bisping was out with one more punch to Bisping while he was unconscious on the ground. Late punch? Sure.  Well deserved?  Defiintely, Bisping talked too much shit on TUF

– GSP is becoming boring and predictable.  Doesn’t mean he’s not great, it’s just that he takes his opponents down and ground and pounds.  I want to see the old GSP with the crazy strikes.  He has always played it safe ever since he lost to Matt Serrra.

– Brock Lesnar dominated Frank Mir from the start of the fight.  I never thought I’d see a fighter as high caliber as Mir get controlled so much.  Lesnar was too strong and his skills were enough to defend submissions.

– I didn’t have a problem with Lesnar’s antics: not touching gloves, telling Mir afterwards “Now talk all the shit you want”, flipping off the fans, telling us, he “might get on top of his wife”.  At least, he takes his fights personally and passionate about fighting.

– Lesnar is definitely the best heavyweight in the UFC.  Many MMA fans feel that he doesn’t deserve the belt because he has only had 5 fights.  But who can beat him in the UFC?  Maybe Randy in a rematch but Lesnar would be a big favorite.  Which brings me to my next point….

–  Fedor Emelianenko and Josh Barnett, who will be fighting each other in Affliction 3, have the best shots in beating Brock.  Dana wants to bring Fedor to the UFC to fight Brock, I hope it happens.

–  What happened to the Sherdog Fedor chant after the Lesnar/Mir fight?  I didn’t hear it.  Way to disapoint Pride nerds!

– Finally saw the hyped Buffer 360, too bad it wasn’t shown on tv.  Now I can die in peace, clip below.  Kind of weird how he gets on the fighters face and drops cards like a maniac.  Go Bruce
