Tabitha Advance Review: Tabathas Salon Takeover Season Three (Bravo Network TV)

Tabatha’s Salon Takeover is a popular reality series that has been on Bravo for two years now. The third season starts with two strong episodes. No-nonsense, likable and tough, Tabatha Coffey attempts to transform struggling salons across the country. Tabatha takes over a salon for one week. Each episode usually begins with Tabatha using hidden cameras to discover the issues of the salon, whether its lazy employees, too much play and not enough work, or inept owners. She then inspects the salons and some of them are pretty disgusting, and haven’t been cleaned in what appears to be a long time. This part of the series reminds me of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, and fans of that series should check out Tabatha’s Salon Takeover.

The first episode of season 3 involves two sisters deep in debt running a salon in California. The owners are likable but fairly inept, and easy for viewers to root for. The second episode involves a smarmy married couple who know nothing about the hair business and come across as yuppies who think they know it all. They are harder to root for, yet the episode is full of drama and might even be more compelling than the first episode. Tabatha’s Salon Takeover returns to Bravo on Monday December 6th at 10pm. Every Monday at 10pm, Bravo is the place to be. Tabatha’s Salon Takeover is easily one of the best reality shows on television.
