Who will awkwardly make out with Halle Berry? Who will cry so hysterically that they need to be dragged away by at least 5 or 6 security guards? Will “Jack” be there? Why am I asking you all these questions?

Very surprised that District 9 and Up are nominated for best picture. Those movies are really good.

Woo hoo, I’m so glad that District 9 got several nominations.
Also cool how Hans Zimmer got recognized for Sherlock Holmes. Once I heard the music, I had a feeling it was Hans!
One more thing, did they raise the number of movies nominated for best picture? I don’t remember being that much last time.

Yeah There are usually only 5 nominations but this year it was announced there would be 10
I hope District 9 wins best picture but I got a feeling Avatar will take it.

Yay, hollywood patting themselves on the back for a job well done. Honestly, I don’t really care what the oscars (or whatever ceremonial award show) says. I’m going to like what I like and dislike what I don’t no matter what. Besides that, isn’t this the group that snubbed Scorcesse for about 3 decades and awarded that polar bear movie best effects? I wouldn’t consider their word law when it comes to movie matters.

Yeah, that is the point of award shows. But good or bad, anything that promotes a movie I like, I am all for it.

I still have the childhood dream of winning a Oscar, even though it doesn’t mean as much to me as it did when I was younger

One thing that kinda confuses me about all awards, from games to movies, is when they have specific genre award nominees that are also overall best of nominees. Like with ‘Up’. It’s nominated for best animated and best picture. But the other animated movies aren’t. It’s like saying ‘Up’ is a better movie than those others, but those others are possibly a better animated feature?

So I guess Up is a sure winner for Best Animated then lol
