$5 Blu-Ray and $29 Video Games at Wal-Mart on Black Friday

Just when I was bummed that Target and Best Buy had mediocre deals for Black Friday, Wal-Mart’s ad was leaked earlier today and I’m excited about it.  They have the best deals so far, with more than 60 Blu-Ray titles for $5 and 30 more at $10.  The $5 Blu-Ray prices are insane because their DVD counterparts is also the same price. With prices like these, it becomes more about greed.  I’ll probably buy Batman Begins for $5 but how many times am I going to watch it?  Probably once every 2 years because I already watched it so many time before.  Plus, I already have the DVD and HD-DVD versions.  Same for Taking of Pelham 123, the movie had cool sequences but overall it sucked.  But for the price, I know I”ll want to buy it.

Below are the video game deals:

The $29 games is pretty damn incredible and they have some good titles like Red Dead Redemption and NBA 2k11.  I’m not going to get any of them because I currently have both games sitting in my room but if you don’t have it yet, make sure to pick it up.  The $10 games are good too, I’ll probably get God Of War Collection.  I know I won’t finish the games for awhile because I haven’t even beaten ‘Red Dead’ yet, but I’ll get it because it’s cheap.

Wal-Mart made this Black Friday even more exciting by opening up at 12:01 am, not at 6 in the morning.  Who knows how early people are going to line up for this madness.  I’m just going to leave my apartment with my friends at midnight and see if there’s a long ass line.  If there’s a line, I’m going back home and try to beat ‘Red Dead.’   In the end, it’s not like I would’ve bought those items for regular price, I just want it because of the thrill of getting movies and games for a great deal.

This is what Black Friday has become to me, buying things I don’t need because it’s too good to pass up….speaking of deals, Best Buy has a 50′ Panasonic Plasma for $700.  Maybe it’s time to upgrade my TV.
